Basically I save info. in a directory which has been cached by all the SE's. 1000's of caches and over 100K files in a directory. Very small file size but important for my searches.

Tech support says I need to move them all to have 1024 files max per directory/folder. This happens i'll lose a years worth of cached pages and half my traffic

1. I never saw anyone that posts here imply that they work for Godaddy (would surprise the hell out of me if they did).

Why are you hosting at GoDaddy... did you get cross sale or upsold by accident into it?

As an alternative, you could setup some smart mod_rewrite rules and the search engines won't know the difference.
