Attention Google Toolbar Jockeys
I recently put a new site online. I usually just let Google crawl in one of my pages. I got a few links to it and wasn't expecting anything till the next update - then I started getting auto emails that let me know when my site was getting traffic.
I checked my stats, and low and behold, all of the traffic was from Google under the terms that I was trying to get. It's a new site, with all legit links, and no flim flamming - but still a grey bar. I find this interesting. I figured Google would get tired of people jokeying that bar and might devalue it somehow. This could be a start. Anyone else seen this? http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...st+free+videos http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...free +samples http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...t+free +mpegs Pretty sweet huh? |
This is the google everflux. The pagerank is gonna be updated after the next dance. I've been experiencing the same thing in the past few days.
BTW you're not doing too bad with better keywords than these either :winkwink: |
dilldozer - yeah i heard google adds new sites before it updates - that's the first time i've seen it happen to one of my sites - even better i was glad to seen the traffic
my guess this page will start at pr4 or 5 i would be looking for some good pr trades to help solidify this if anyone is interested |
freshbot will come by and grab new pages, and add them to the index as 'minty fresh' listings.. usually with a bit of a boost in ranking, until the entire index is crunched at the end of the month to determine real PR and rankings etc... check on the 1st of Jan u should have toolbar PR showing by then..
Everflux is lovely :thumbsup |
i've head you can keep that post if you keep you pages updated
it's worth a shot |
Wow hey thanks for posting your marketing strategies here.
Now I don't even have to search google to rip off people's ideas. :BangBang: |

It's because of the .org & your backlinks but SSSSSSSHHH don't tell anyone. |
and your page rank will have more to do with what pages link to you than what you have on those pages
PR isn't that big a deal though - I've got a page one listing on Google for a good term with a page that has a PR of 2/10 The term only appears in the h1 tags but Google sure does like it :) |
