Any WiiTards?
Just picked up a Wii, first console I've had since NES...
Having a ball with MarioKart but still on the hunt for more social games. Anyone else have some favorites they like to get drunk with the homies and play? |
I just use the Wii Fit.

a member of my website bought me a Wii and Wii Fit..it was fun for hours when I first got it but now it kinda pisses me off how the games and everything about it could be soooo much better! the games are geared towards really young kids or people that are stupid I think, and it gets old quick.
and WTF is up with you can only play certain games with your friends?(other consoles) my members want to play with me but none of the games I have will do that...boooo!! omg I didn't mean to come off as a crabby buzkill in this post haha.. Maybe I just need new games, so far I've only used the games that come with the console.. You,Mrs Munki n I should all get together n play some Wii sometime!: |
Try this game http://www.ea.com/games/boom-blox

One of my members said he would buy it for me if we could play it together but alas, this one doesn't have that option either! I also love how the Wii lectures you and calls you lazy when you don't play for a couple days LOL |

I have to agree it is geared towards kids, people with families or game night kinda thing. But it is a lot of fun with the fam.

Or something like that. :1orglaugh |
just got the cyberbike for the missus - at least it will be slightly less boring peddling away, so I may even give it a go myself.
Other than that, wii fit, sports and tiger woods golf. The kids seem to love this snowboarding thing, but it seems dull to me, and lego star wars also. |
my friends and i spent hours playing boom blox, i spent hours playing no more heroes by myself.

For games you can play online, probably best to check out the Wii Ware in the store. Other than that, you probably have the best one in Mario Kart. For ones to play at home, it doesn't get much better than Wii Sports Resort. I could play frolf and table tennis on that for days. Mario and Sonic Olympic games is okay too but some of those games are a little too active. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if you could get as good a workout with that as with the Wii Fit games.
If like me you grew up on pinball, the Pinball Hall of Fame Williams Collection was fun as shit. The awesome thing with it is that each machine had goals to meet, most of which had nothing to do with overall score, which actually made it worth playing even machines you might not otherwise like. I have Metroid Prime 3 collecting dust, but I'm sure it WAS a good game given 1 & 2 on GC were fun...I just unfortunately grew past games like that and can't get into complex ones...UT:GotY is about as deep into FPS as I get anymore. |

Thought about hooking it up to my projector like my PS3 but it would be too much of a pain to wire up the sensor above the 100" screen so never did it |
Mario Party 8 is pretty badass and fun for the whole fam.
I use my Wii mostly for old school NES/SNES/Sega games that I don't wanna bust out the original systems in fear of breaking them since they are in very good shape. |

I mean, on the Wii Fit, you have to select the exercises 1 at a time, it's a 1 min move followed by 2 mins of pushing the A button to get to the next one..no option to select to do more than 1 rep and no way to put the exercises together to create an entire workout.. you literally have to jog in place in between exercises if you are trying to keep your heart rate up or get a decent WORKOUT.. Like when I heard it had cardio and yoga I expected hour+ long yoga and cardio classes that I do along with the Nintendo..didn't everybody else? |
my friends have the Wii sports packages with wii plus remote or something like that and it makes the steering much better. Anyway, there are a few fun party games for the Wii, but for anyone that is even a little into gaming, the xbox 360 and PS3 are sooo much better :)

Any of the generic sports ones are a really good laugh when you're drunk. :thumbsup |
It is almost unknown in Brazil so we play wii bowling and golf all the time. If we are all drunk and crazy, we play wii strip bowling.
|
wii resort is fun to play drunk.
madden 10 is cool twist on football controls, way better than mashing buttons. They have some party modes too that look good. |
The new Super Mario Brothers is loads of fun and a great flashback to the original ...
Super Mario Galaxy is trippy good fun Boom Blox and Raving Rabbids are awesome "party" games Excite truck is great for 2 player "racing" Yep, im a wiitard LOL twinkley |
ok cool i will get one n try it out :)
|
yeah the new mario game is cool and you can play 4 players...whatever you do DON'T buy the new tony hawk game with the skateboard its the biggest piece of shit ever...not just saying that its terrible and expensive.
|
got one for my children this christmas.

This just in, while most Wii games are drunk compatible, Wii Fit... IS NOT. Do not attempt either jogging or yoga drunk... it goes bad quick... real quick.
|
I've always wanted to do a fun scene for my site while I play my Wii naked (REALLY original Aaliyah, I know I know LOL) but my living room isn't exactly pretty enough to shoot in..
