For or against?

Yes, lets give the government control over insurance, that'll do the trick! Better yet, lets spend a billion dollars on healthcare reform when we're in the whole 8-9 trillion dollars(almost 50 trillion if we count social security and medicare/medicaid). You know where I stand.

Reform before public option but if it's the only option, then it's the option I support. Gov ran healthcare works fine now, yes it could improve but I see no reason why more people shouldn't have access to it if they need it.

Im for the health insurance company. I have stock in them and no matter what they'll make a ton of money in the next 10 years.

For. It's a damn shame they are almost certainly going to remove the watered down one they had after committee. Total win for insurance companies.

With what we pay in taxes the gov't has a responsibility to take care of it's people.

You can cry all day saying "Oh the gov't can't do anything right..." or "It'll destroy the health industry.. blah blah blah"... But bottom line, out of principle, it's the governments responsibility, and there's no arguing with that.

And a solid victory for tax payers.

By luck of birth, I have free health care for life. Anything serious goes wrong medically, all it would cost me is a plane ticket. Once I start getting older, I plan to emigrate, since it seems like the USA is too corrupt to serve it's citizens properly. The american insurance industry is evil, their bribes and lies paid for by your premiums, and they will never get a dollar from me.
