Hackers ... advice please?
 

Hi All,

I am just about starting to find my feet with my first membership site .. apdnudes.com. The site has been live for about 6 weeks now and is starting to convert regularly :thumbsup but over the last couple of days I have had a very persistent person trying to hack into the members area!:mad:

Is this 'normal' and to be expected with a membership site? (I have only ever run affiliate sites before.)

Any advice / comments welcomed?

of course it is normal, every website is bruteforced daily, some are permanent under attack. strongbox and generated passwords is your safe way :winkwink:

Thing is, you won't even know are they in :)

See do your members complain of spam, or you have large amount of cracked accounts. If so, you've been had.

Yup, Strongbox or similar software is the way to go. I'm not sure off hand if SB tracks the traffic of users but you might want to watch how much content is being downloaded per user. If it gets shared, you'll be getting a nice boost in traffic and possibly overages on your hosting.
