Can you drink / do drugs in moderation? If so, how do you stop yourself from abusing stuff? Got any tips to share?

realize that party favors are not going anywhere. that's my secret. i will party, have a great time, want to get more/continue past the weekend and remind myself that booze will be there next time, schmoke will be there next time, other things will be there next time too. and taking a break in-between means they will hit that much better next time too.
