I am still moving to cali but i was leaning towards San diego, now some friends told me LA is a lot of fun..

For you californians which do you prefer?

Los Angeles is a better city to live in that San Diego. Move to LA, preferably West LA.

PS i NEED a contact in san diego for short term apartment rentals(pref furnished).. anyone know someone. Im planning on going there in 3 weeks and my budget is around $2.5k a month..

I live in NYC but been to both LA and San Diego and i must say love San Diego but then again it's to calm for me but an awesome place to move.

Dam where are all you San Diego peeps when we have a get together? Another vote for San Diego and if you have money to burn you'll fit right in, the Mayor and city council loves to burn money as well.

I live in LA now but was in SD for 2-3 years.

Go for SD you won't regret it. will be moving back in the future.

SD: Less crowded, better driving less traffic, beaches, hot chicks, beaches, cleaner feeling in general

LA: shitty traffic, shitty people, shitty traffic.

i'll make sure to mark San Diego as my stopping point in Cali then :) Anyone knows good places where to stay?

I use to live in la jolla so when I go back i usually stay around there at the sheraton or hyatt. Its close to UCSD (college chix) and a few beaches. Its also close to anywhere else you want to go in sd, downtown, pacific beach etc.

sheraton looks nice... Are the beaches any good in January?

also whats difference between PB and MissionBeach, which one is more fun

Pacific Beach is more laid back and its a younger crowd with tons of college chicks.

I guess it depends on what you want? LA and San Diego are much different ways of life it seems, yes?

Having lived in both quite a bit...

If you have cash to burn, then high end LA is the way to go.

i'd rather live in Sd or OC myself
