thats been known for a long time. even since gen 2. it's not an app. the draw to getting apps in the apple app store is the same as getting ads on a high trafficked site, the millions of eyeballs. no apple app store. no eyeballs. no cash. simple as that.

just an opinion. don't shoot the messenger.

Moe that article is really misleading. Like seeric just said.. you can do this with any website or mobile site by clicking on the + button in your iphone browser and telling it to add the sites icon/bookmark to your phones home screen. No apple app billing.. you're just looking at a mobile site on your phone and have to use your credit card to buy.
