Obama shits on his voters once again

and wipes his ass with the Constitution.

Key components in the USA Patriot Act are set to expire at the end of the year, but President Barack Obama is seeking to extend them, reversing his stark opposition in the past to the same provisions.

"The president's reversal on Patriot Act reform is a major travesty," said Michelle Richardson, Legislative Counsel for the leading civil rights group ACLU, in an interview with Raw Story. "There have been many, many abuses of power in the last four years."

These three main aspects in question allow the government to acquire private information about civilians through warrantless wiretapping of phone calls and emails, as well as seizure of records from credit reporting companies, banks, internet service providers and libraries. Another component includes the loosening of conditions under which an individual can be accused of providing "material support" to terrorists.

In 2005, then-Senator Obama pledged to filibuster a Bush-sponsored bill that included several of these exact components, calling it "just plain wrong" in a Senate speech.

It's pointless for anyone to sit here and say "I told you so" because it doesn't really accomplish anything, but that is the reality of it. People were warned about this fucking puppet since the beginning of the primaries. It might as well still be Bush in office, same fucking people are pulling the strings of the frontman... maybe now some of you are starting to realize that.

No he didnt. He wanted more focus on Afghanistan. Yours is a strangely common misperception. I wonder where it's coming from.

You must be braindead to have bought into Obama's "change" nonsense, just like most idiotic democrats. For every 1 thing Obama considers doing differently, the other 9 he does like Bush, except more intelligent and more covertly, and THAT I give him props for. He finally realized, or knew this whole time that "change" is impossible and "adapting" is the only logical move.

He never said he was going to remove the Act, he said he was going to make changes to it, which he did do that, parts that cover Americans rights.

You may want to read the article... and understand the general purpose of the Act is protection of our Nation, which is actually does do.

so far I have been a strong supporter, but if he does this, he'll become another Bush and I'll join the "trash Obama train"

That isn't bad for "law enforcement agencies" across our entire Country... That just shows how screwed up people are.

And they don't need the Patriot Act to do that...

This guy just screams "liberals!" at everyone. Hes one strange guy. You at least make *some* sense. The funny thing is, if all of the "conservative" people say he is just like bush...why don't they like him?

I was railing against Bush just as much as I am Obama. The point is both Bush and Obama are one and the same. Nearly all of these "law makers" are working for the same thing. To pass "laws" > statutes to extract cash from us for the "corporation" and to give to their friends and family. That's it. There is no left or right. That's all BS to keep the people fighting with each other while they are picking our wallets. The agenda/business plan stays the same. Obama is just a CEO literally. And he takes orders from the investors. Congress and the house are board members.

If Obama saved a baby from a passing train, I'm sure we'd all be up in arms over how lord Obama stepped in the way of Gods plan.

That's dead on. No one has their eye on the ball, but instead they have their eyes on our wallets also freedoms for the right price....so to speak.

Plausible deniability. Obama can veto it.. In addition Democrats control both branches.. Just like the wars, now that they are in control it's on their watch. But since it's them doing it it's ok.. No lame excuses k?

"Real" change would be things like actually bringing all of our troops home and closing the ridiculous amounts of military bases that we have all around the world. Real change would be abolishing the Federal Reserve and putting the power to control our money back into the hands of the Congress and Treasury where it's supposed to be.

I really doubt we will get any "real" change any time soon though because the average American thinks the concept of getting rid of the Third Bank of the United States (The Federal Reserve) is absolutely ludicrous. Why is that? Because they don't know shit about the history of fractional reserve central banking and how it all works.

Treasury is a private corporation just like the Federal Reserve.

The shit you say is ludicrous... you simply repeat the dumb shit that you hear people say but it doesn't have any practical application in todays world... you can fool yourself all you want...

As far as the rest of you gfy conservatives/libertarians... elections have consequences... if you really care about it you would do what I did and campaign for your candidate and donate funds. It's very easy to complain and bitch now and call other people names... you are couch pundits who talk a good game and do nothing. :2 cents:

The major difference between conservatives and liberals is that conservatives go to town hall meetings and scream at their representatives while liberals sit on their couches and scream at their TV sets.

Doesn't have any practical application in today's world? lol, okay so what should we do then? Continue to let international bankers control our country through the privately owned central bank? Great idea!

I just scream "liberals"? It's not surprising that you can't seem to follow a conversation. And conservatives love his foreign military policies, his removing the ICBMs from Poland and putting them facing Iran, and his "secret" support of Israel. Like I said, he's doing everything Bush was doing over there, but in a smarter fashion. In terms of economics though, this guy knows dick.
