Despite the best efforts with companies to make it otherwise, the truth of the matter is - it has always been and at least for the near future will continue to always be about the dot com.

Anything that isn't a dot com takes a drastic hit in value no matter how great the domain may be just simply because it isn't a dot com.

For many years now companies have tried to make the other extensions worth something but nothing to date seems to have worked.

.org
.biz
.tk
.ws
.mobi
.tv
.info

All of these extensions with a few rare exceptions really have no values. I like a few .info domain names but what I like doesn't really matter to most professional domainers.

It really is a .com world when it comes to the valuation and sale of most domains ....the rest are just for speculators in my view.

One thing to know about Sex.ws is that, if it is like the other 3-letter .ws names, the registry "premium"d them at a $500/yr registration cost. So it's not the typical $8-$20/yr costing name. .tv does that with a lot of premium names regardless of length as well which is why it's generally rare to see top .tv domains for sale, because registrants having to fork over hundreds or even thousands of dollars per year for them aren't likely to do that in the hopes of reselling them. I've done it however and have made .tv sales of up to $15,000 apiece, so it is by far not a "dog" extension like .ws is. .ws has had plenty of time to grow and never really has. If it wasn't premium reg fees, Sex.ws would be worth probably low-mid $x,xxx however if not more, but who's going to pay that AND $500/yr?

Rick Latona's domain newsletter. It's probably already sold though. So you're saying you would pay up to mid $x,xxx and $500/yr for Sex.ws? If so, check with Toby @ Rick Latona and he might indicate who it's sold to if it is sold (or if not, you get it at $750). GL.
