Do you still open the door for random women in public?
 

I was raised to open the doors for women even if I do not know them. I opened doors for women until I was in my mid-20s and living in Seattle. In Seattle women are much more indoctrinated my leftist/communist ideology so often I would get women not thanking me for opening the door and sometimes they would even look at me like I was being an asshole for doing something courteous.

So I have stopped opening the doors for women. Yesterday in LA a women got angry at me for not opening the door for her.:(

I open it for everyone, no matter the gender.

if someone is behind me i will hold the door open for them, man or woman. i dont get doors for women though. ive had girls get mad that i dont open the car door for them.

I occasionally hold the door for anyone, male or female, I don't care. It just pisses me off when 1- they don't say thank you, or 2- they expect me to hold the fucking door for them the whole time. Grab the fucking door for christs sake.

I do it as a common courtesy....Every once in awhile, someone goes through the door without saying thank you....But that's just part of it....If it bothers you, if they don't say anything, just say loudly, "YOU'RE WELCOME" and keep it moving.

He prefers his 'caboose' to be from the other flavor.

I hate it when they're just that little bit too far to wait for.

Yeah, I still open the doors for women, they love that shit. Instant pussy IMO.

Funny story: a few weeks ago I was at Starbucks and there was this oblivious hottie in front of me jabbering on the phone while the poor barristo loser at the counter was desperately trying to flirt with her.

I kinda felt bad for the guy.

As I was leaving I noticed that she had forgotten her keys and the barristo was desperately trying to get her attention and give her her keys and she was completely ignoring him. As I walked through the door she expected me to hold it for her and I didn't so it closed in her face, nearly squashing her latte.

Loser got to play save-a-ho and I got to do a solid for a bro.

When I worked on cruise ships, and people wouldn't say thank you I would make a point of very loudly saying 'you're welcome' at them when they walked away. It drove them fucking mental when someone pointed out their lack of manners.

I only open doors and whatnot for my wife, and old people... fuck everyone else, they have hands :P

I will hold the door open for someone though if they are close enough behind me

I'm not gender bias when it comes to being chivalrous, but I enjoy doing it more for a hot girl.

EDIT: I still open doors for women from the WWII generation. I even helped one cross the street a few weeks ago. :)

I open the door for women and those with small children. Do it at the gym all the time and 95% say thankyou.

I open the door for random people...

exactly, i don't discriminate my door opening upon sex, but upon your proximity to the door upon my arrival at the door.

depends on how i feel that day. sometimes i will hold hte door open or i will walk through and hold it for them.

if i feel they are ignorant or expecting me to hold the door open, then i just let it close on their face :1orglaugh

Same here. Always have, always will.
Never nice however if the person doesn`t have the common courtesy of a "thank you" or a pleasantry in response.

Yeah, no shit! All that bottled up aggression. After being at sea for 8-months dealing with the 'guests' (that we called cone heads), it was the small measures of resistance that put a smile on my face.

These are the kind of questions I was asked on a regular basis;

Do these stairs go up and down?

Does this elevator go to the front of the ship?

Does the ship generate it's own power?

What time is the midnight buffet?

What elevation are we sailing at?

Is the water in the urinals fresh water?

That shit would drive even the most level headed person bananas LOL

However...On occasion I will let the door shut on the last person if I hold it for an entire group and not one person says thank you.

How can you tell?

I don't go all out and stand back holding it open and shit, but if someone male/female is coming behind me then I'll reach back and hold it for them to grab.

What really creeps me out is when some dude gets to the door before me and holds it open to let me through first.. gayfers.

As AngryJewCat said, it depends on proximity and how I hold the door open.

However I do tend to go the extra mile for women regardless of proximity. Gives me a chance to see the rack as they pass by and the ass as the walk on.

Yes everytime.. without fail.. sometimes you get eye-ball fucked in the process
