http://www.msn.com it's been my homepage forever, did a double take when i saw the new look. don't need much artistic skills in the web 2.0 era, get a custom logo for 50 bucks for the header, pick your font, pick out a color scheme from colorlovers.com and then make some colored boxes and voila you're done - no need for a designer.

Do they use their own keyword buying network or googles or yahoos? Do you know?

Looks exactly the same as it has for yeas to me. Exactly what is different?

I dont understand why they ask us to choose our themes and layouts when its what the page comes like that should matter.

I know we all have our own differences and likes. The reason for paying a designer is to get it about right for everyones likes, not for us all to choose what we want.
