Australian Internet Filter

I think most would agree that we are in some challenging times in many parts of the industry and every sale is a good one. If your traffic sites and/or programs are anything like ours, Australia makes up between 4% to 6% of your traffic, sales and income. If the Australian government get their way that will be yet another 4% to 6% of your income that goes missing!

A good friend of mine Fiona Patten has founded the Australia Sex Party. A political party that is out to protect the rights of us all on running an online adult business and the rights of all Australian adults to keep the old farts in Canberra out of our sex lives.

You can show your support by doing one of the following.

1) Join the ASP supporters site HERE
2) Put a GEO targeted banner on your traffic site to display to Australian traffic only
3) Put a button on your resource page to show support
4) Shooting content? Ask your girls to do a short clip showing support for ASP

I will design banners, supply GEO script, design button and do a short script for the girls to read. All you need to do is contact me and I will put together everything you need.

Thanks for any support you can give

+1 for support. I'd hate to move out of my Adelaide penthouse because Ruddkips wants to fuck with our internet. It's embarrassing enough I have a download limit and a shit line for an outrageous price, let alone having to worry about my income source going to shit.

Zorgman 11-29-2009 05:34 AM

Will be moving to USA when that happends Adam. But the gov will do whatever it wants, it's not going to let a little 50,000 people stand in it's way.

alias 11-29-2009 05:41 AM

They should definitely filter all Aussies from being on our innanetz, 100% agree.

Cyber Fucker 11-29-2009 12:53 PM

bump for good cause!!! Something must be done about it!

If it comes through then the Australian % of your income with still be gone regardless of where you live!

Klen 11-29-2009 04:00 PM

Just move to Czech republic and problem solved.

Unless I became a US citizen. There would be no point staying here at that point.

How is becoming a US citizen going to help the 4 to 6% of the surfers to your sites?

That's the big issue here. If the filter block a site like worldsex.com then they are affected regardless of where they live! It's loss of incomes and traffic.

Zorgman 11-29-2009 04:51 PM

No, I mean so I can access my own damn sites. If I can run my own sites from here then I need to move to a place where I can.

nekrom 11-29-2009 04:55 PM

Could the ASP have thought up a better name? Seriously it's shithouse.

They have good intentions though, but I don't believe Mr/Miss average or the conservative public are going to want much to do with them. I also class the ASP as a fringe political group, like the socialist allegiance or the other smaller ones.

The only time when people care is after the fact, if it "is currently" effecting them personally or somebody is about to take away their beer or a public holiday.

Some people are severely lacking in the reading comprehension department

People vote in private and the tick box for "sex party" is sure to get a few peoples attention. I know I for one would tick it just because I think it looks like a bit of fun :1orglaugh

I'd like to say +2 for that, but it might be a bit early, he still has not moved away from this ETS bullshit of a pucken tax they are about to hit us with. Maybe Tony Abbott as leader would shake thing's up a bit, he would liven them up, lol.

Who voted in the pucken Rudd labor government and its policies... Internet Filter, ETS Tax (emissions trading scheme), and so on.....

One could say at least the Australia Sex Party is standing up and having a go at slowing, stopping the labor government's internet filter. And we could, should give them a hand in any small way one can, instead of after the fact. :2 cents:

Don't forget the libs introduced internet censorship and takedown legislation about a decade ago. It's going to keep coming up regardless of the party in power, and perhaps one day the solution WILL be "technically feasible"... :helpme

Bump for support.

Aka_Bluey 11-30-2009 06:31 PM

Going up... Wonder what Tony Abbott will do now as leader of the Libs?

CreamyMedia 11-30-2009 06:55 PM

Bump for you. I have only seen the headlines re what your Aussie government are doing so apologies if this is not the crux of it but am I right in saying that they are attempting to force all ISP`s to censor what the surfer can view?

CreamyMedia 11-30-2009 07:09 PM

Ok, just read this at your friends site - sexparty.com.au/index/asp/ where it`s outlined very clearly.

I have always thought that the Aussies were quite liberal when it comes to sex so I`m amazed how the government can attempt to push such a law through.

Blazing 11-30-2009 08:37 PM

Hey Mate... I need the script.... please send it to me, and i will get a few vids done for you

Major (Tom) 11-30-2009 08:43 PM

Crikey!!
duke

CunningStunt 11-30-2009 08:59 PM

There are a few things I hate about living in Australia.

The censorhip and petty mindedness of the Government is one of the biggest things that gets up my nose. The other is Australians. :1orglaugh

j/k :upsidedow

Thank you so much for your support.

Adam_M 12-01-2009 02:00 PM

Bump to the top.

Adam_M 12-01-2009 09:31 PM

Kevin Rudd and Tony Abbott may not agree on climate change or work choices but they sure as hell agree on one thing.

Religion.

And they both agree that it should be shoved down our throats through bad legislation like filtering the internet, banning X rated films and R rated computer games, giving church-based businesses loads of taxpayer's money and refusing to provide modern sex education in schools.

CunningStunt 12-01-2009 09:59 PM

You can get the proper versions of games from play-asia.com Adam, in case you didn't know already. That's where I ship them in from.

Tony Abbott, what a joke.

tiger 12-02-2009 01:18 AM

When will these clowns figure out you can't block shit on the net.

People will find a way to access it if its out there. If anything more censorship = more sales. Sucks but its true.

Dirty Dane 12-02-2009 01:24 AM

There is one thing I do not understand. How can they block a website as "illegal", but not shut down the operation?
... wait, that IS censorship.

Bake 12-02-2009 03:17 AM

It is what happens when the general plebs elect the religious right without knowing they have elected them, Had most Labour voters known that electing KEV 707 would make cans of Bundy rum 50% MORE and no free porn I'm sure we still have Johnny

Cyber Fucker 12-02-2009 09:51 AM

Fucking government clowns that want to have a control on every part of our lives. The scary thing is that something similar is preparing now European Union and Poland. Where the fuck is our freedom of information and privacy!
