Nope. Not for me.

Historically, mid November through 1st weeks of Jan are murderous in regards to sales, and scheduling models for shoots.

I loathe the holiday season.

It used to be easy street from Dec. 26 until around March....No more.

fuzebox 11-26-2009 08:55 PM

Sales are great for me tonight :thumbsup

FrozenJag 11-26-2009 08:56 PM

My sales as an affiliate are terrible the last week to be honest.

Coming off a record month in Oct. so its frustrating but these are the ups and downs. :)

The Judge 11-26-2009 08:58 PM

yeah. great sales, if you sell turkeys

Vjo 11-27-2009 01:30 AM

I can smell it in the air it's gonna be a fairly decent weekend. Last two days were bad, real bad, Thanksgiving showed some life. Heading in the right direction.

Sats and Sundays are always good on 4 day weekends when guys are rested and more importantly, have time to maybe surf some quality paysite porn. Remember in this busy world some guys just need some idle time on their hands. They got the money, not always the time, so holidays can be good. I've always generally liked them.

I hear ya, the key word is frustrating. It seems that whenever things are selling better than usual the law of averages ALWAYS has to intervene. You have to be patient as someone here said. It really is over time and sometimes over a fairly large time depending how many hits your moving.

I look at the month to keep my sanity. Real by the year is better.

It seldom goes on a predictable path ever.

Vjo 11-27-2009 01:49 AM

Ive seen sponsors rap off 5 signups in 5 days and then go 5 months with nothing. Not as many noodles in the broth anymore and you can have a stream of pure broth that can go on and on. Then suddenly 4-5 noodles. :)

So relax and enjoy the ride. :)

Edit: I have to give Serge credit for the noodle analogy. I stole that one. It goes back to the 90's :)

hmm less success on american holidays for us, similar to veteran day and id4. Thx we can rely on the euro market :)

Yep the holiday is usually not super but when a situation arises like Thanksgiving when the holiday is a Thursday, that allows the guys to get back home in time for "wild and crazy weekend" when they suddenly feel rested from that extra day of sleep and hmmm, home alone. :winkwink:

but the best laid plans of mice and men.. :)

If this was a first of the month right now, possible as Thanksgiving is on the last Thursday always, then we would be in for a rare super mega selling weekend.

I'm optimistic dammit, ya have to be. Americans love to spend money, bottom line. It is in our blood. We get cranky if we feel deprived of anything including the latest paysite we like.

Were holding on to our $$$ now but one of these days were gonna let it go! People have money.

Nicky 11-27-2009 02:24 AM

Was pretty ok yesterday.

hypedough 11-27-2009 02:25 AM

It was a decent day, I think it gets even better right after Christmas with all those prepaid CC's.

Vjo 11-27-2009 02:47 AM

Thank god for rebills. If you run a good long term rebilling prog pat yourself on the back.

The best money is still in rebilling.

Some progs are better pushed at PPS but the best money remains in the GOOD recurring porogs.

Don't ever let me see my recurring sponsors face to face. I may have to kiss them on the lips. And that would not be pretty. :)

(Of course now I just remembered my best prog is pps) Oh well, I stand firm on recurring saving the day.

Yes I do. :thumbsup

As a matter of fact, someone should start a holiday for giving thanks (for rebilling).

:winkwink:

Yeah really, thank the guy (surfer) who is a happy customer. But yeah that really can sometimes be the margin. I often buy traffic in hopes of breaking even on the signups but making money on the recurs. Hey that's margins now days from an affil. :)

I love sponsors who tell you how many members you have. It's those members that it's all about in a year from now.

DaddyHalbucks 11-27-2009 04:49 AM

It's a good time of year for online sales.

18teens 11-27-2009 08:31 AM

Yesterday was really bad for me.

Rebills are what will make, or break, you as a pay site owner.

It's business 101. It is easier, and cheaper, to keep a customer than to chasing down new one's. It is a very simply concept that has been around for aged. However, few seem to follow it. Instead, they spend countless time, money, and effort always chasing new sales, and hoping they will at least bill for ONE month, and not charge back.

Oh, and in that ONE month. We are going to bang your fucking card crazy so you NEVER come back again. Not only to us, but think twice about ANY porn site in the future.

Great business model.

I always had double sales during the week between christmas and new year. I hope this year will be the same.

gotekix 11-27-2009 04:17 PM

Pretty good sales today since a lot of people have the day off (I'm assuming).

Ace_luffy 11-27-2009 07:31 PM
