Is $1 per install for desktop strippers out of line?

So I sent 1800 hits, got 220 installs..
And made $30 (it'll be more, in time, it takes them awhile to buy after installing)
But I don't want it like this... I told them I'll send them 2000 installs per month IF they give me $1 per install

ztik 11-19-2009 05:18 PM

Um actually you should get more..

GTS Mark 11-19-2009 05:22 PM

which program is this?

Angry Jew Cat - Banned for Life 11-19-2009 05:27 PM

$30 for 220 installs is pure shit :2 cents:

They should be slingin' you at least $.50/install, I don't think $1/install is unreasonable to ask. I promote some mainstream gaming stuff and I get anywhere from $.75-$1.50/lead. I wouldn't even waste my fucking time promoting something that paid so little...

If they'd up to $1 for desktop strippers I'd get on board. Could manage a couple hundred installs a day without too much trouble.

Bman 11-19-2009 05:34 PM

Anybody care to list some good stripper programs?

Agent 488 11-19-2009 05:36 PM

totemcash i assume.

MrMaxwell 11-19-2009 05:55 PM

In their defense.. the conversion rate is impressive, as hell..

What I promote are mostly browser based RPGs. There seems to be a trend swinging towards browser based gaming offers. Starting to see more and more of them popping up. They convert like dynamite on the right traffic.

They're only browser based? Any chance I can either bundle or distribute the installs myself?

Don't think so, don't know though honestly. I ran some toolbar stuff, they were harder to get the lead on. The browser based offers are easy signups, so that's what I started to focus on. Even those mainstream toolbar installs pay like $1-2/lead though.

WTF is with the penny payouts, seriously?

Mind sharing what the RPG gaming sites look like (or their affiliate programs)? If you prefer, email: gfy [at] wired2000 [dott] com.

Any network that has the Travian browser game. I used to promote it on Neverblue, but apparently they don't carry it anymore. I think PublisherRev & CactusMedia still have it. If you're looking for toolbar downloads and whatnot, Neverblue has got quite a few of those too.

CPimp 11-19-2009 10:42 PM

I am with a good network for a few different types of lead generation programs, as well as trial purchases, email submits, 2 page submits and all that happy shit. Hit me up if youre interested on ICQ

MrMaxwell 11-20-2009 07:30 PM

I've made another $10 since I posted.. up to 232 installs, now
I am not saying this is all I'll get for them - people do keep buying
I just want to get back on topic, how many people think $1 is too much? How many think it should be more?

MrMaxwell 11-20-2009 07:35 PM

My thought is that qualified leads should be worth $1 themselves
What's more,
An e-mail is worth AT LEAST $1..

Thoughts, please

My thoughts are with you. $1 is a fair pay per install. They're really sticking it to their affiliates at the rates you're posted about. i guess you can do that when you have no real competition for your product though...

st0ned 11-20-2009 07:40 PM

Eh, kinda unlikely you will get it. If you do let me know because I would like to go the same route. I have sent targeted traffic and here are my results:

http://www.browsefling.com/strip.jpg

IMO not worth the effort for the amount of installs to only make 3-4k. Looks like I am making roughly $0.28 per install. Consider also I am in the top 40 on their top 100 affiliates list from last month...doesn't say much. :2 cents:

Well.. they do pay FOREVER and they share EVERYTHING .. .so this $41 COULD add up to $1 per or more... but I'd like it upfront, flat rate, if they offer it they might make MORE keeping their customers 100% to themselves anyway

Is that a four figure ratio you've blurred out?
Targeted traffic did that bad?
I'm at 1:230..

What surprised the FUCK out of me was 1:8 visitors actually installed the software!! Un fucking real, man!!

What kind of traffic is yours?

tiger 11-21-2009 11:53 AM

I'm avging about .50 an install not counting rebills.

I'd be interested in seeing these... I have a mainstream forum where quite a few of them play browser-based games...

at the risk of asking a dumb question as I haven't looked into these at all, is there anything shady to the way these companies operate? ie. are the installs and toolbars benign?

The detailed daily stats of our top100 affiliates is available online at http://totemcash.com/free/statistics.php

http://toshare.toteme.com./TCASH_OCT2009.JPG

The top affiliates making $0.17 to $0.10 per CLICK we could afford to pay $1 per download (way more actually), but for most affiliates, we'd just loose money paying $1 per install. I know revsharing is slow to take off, up to a week, but I still believe that's the best way to share profits and still be around after 11 years. Paying a fixed price would for sure attract new affiliates, but no matter how you do it, you end up underpaying good traffic and overpaying for crap. If anyone has ideas on how to do it, be fair to affiliates and stay in business, I'm interested, I like the sound of $1 per install ;)

And yes we're the nice guys, we don't install anything shady, we don't do cross sales and we publish all our numbers.

1. This is monthly and that's what he's been paid
2. There is less than 10% rebills in that amount. We changed our business model two years ago and are not selling memberships with rebills anymore (well, you can still subscribe, hence the 10%, but we don't push it), customers pay a few bucks to see each girl. So all that money has really been made that month, it's not old rebills.

Pretty broad question, I guess it depends on your expectations and how hardcore the solo girl is. The softer the better imoh, send a few hundred clicks, wait a few days and you'll know :)
