A video replay during the match solves everything. They do it in MANY other sports. Tennis, Rugby, American Football, loads.

Holy shit im nearly speechless, there was contact from Anelka forcing his feet into the keeper, if anything it should have been a foul by Anelka on the keeper. Its just a way of trying to buy a penalty that occasionally works but when not given should lead to a booking.

I saw an article that said Paris in the most perverted city in the world. Having said that, I think this fact also implies that they cheat a lot compared to other countries.

But think about this - if nobody cheated, love would not be fun. I think there has to be some kind of pressure on the partner to love intensely in order to keep his/her partner from cheating. So, what I'm trying to say is this - couples have to work hard on their romance if they want to eliminate cheating. If nobody cheated even though their partner treated them the wrong way, love would be boring. I think the sense of the danger of being cheated on makes couples want to please each other more, so that no cheating happens.

This is why FIFA & UEFA doesn't want video replies...because then they couldn't corrupt games that easily. And can you imagine WC without France, Germany, etc? Football is becoming similar to wrestling, some people know the result in advance.


This wasn't something the referee didn't see, or the linesman, they just didn't want to see it.

They also could have called an offsides on that play, clearly one and maybe even two of the French players were offsides before Henry handled it...

It was clear a couple of months ago when FIFA decided that AFTER nine months of qualifying, and only one game remaining, that they were going to seed the teams, ensuring France, Portugal and Russia would not play each other, that something was up...this result will just add more fuel to the fire!

I hope France goes 0-3 in group stage and goes home!

Football/soccer is a farce at the moment.

Tournaments are engineered so that the big teams do well with/without help from the officials. I'm sure it's always been the same but these days with all the coverage on TV it stands out all the more.

This was an international game and it's really bad for Ireland, but FIFA/EUFA wanted France, the bigger team, in the competition. The same thing happens in club football every week. Smaller sides get dubious decisions against them when it looks like they might be winning.

It may be just that the bigger team is attacking more and so has more chance of getting lucky with a penalty or something like this, but it's still not fair. This kind of thing makes the Premier League predictable and boring, looks like it's starting to spread to internationals aswell.

One of the top men from our football association in Scotland spoke out yesterday about what goes on at some of the meetings with the people at Uefa etc.

He says he brought the point of video replays to the table a number of times, only for them to scoff at it and say "that's not football".

The fact they don't even want to consider using video evidence basically tells you that they have too much to hide.


The game is going to shit because of these assholes in charge...
