Ian Fisher: American soldier [pictures]

Some good high quality pics about a young dude joining the army and leaving it in one piece.

Seriously, what was he thinking when we sign up? This isn't a fucking computer game.

Thank God people like him do decide to sign-up and defend your freedoms. What a thing to say? You are a fucking moron. If it wasn't people like him that sign-up, people like you and me would be forced into it. Well maybe me, because you are most likely to old and obese to be considered anyways.

What you are saying might have meaning in ww2 but this is a pointless war with no winners. I feel for the families who's kids are dying for basically nothing achieved.

great story and pics...

cardinalvices 11-18-2009 06:20 AM

What are you talking about? Look at this kid. He signs up for army for what? He wants to eat cakes and play computer games? Oh look on the 2nd day he start whining about how he wants to go home and see his mommy. Thats kids these days. They only care about weed, beer and free fuck. He doesn't have a goal, he is reckless when it comes to real fighting and war. He is on vicodin because it fucking hurts. So why the fuck did he join the army in the first place? Army is a constant struggle, soldiers face death when on the mission, its not a paid vacation. But its sad because most of them kids are like that these days. No dignity, no goals, no selfrespect.

That's pretty cool, a bit touching since a buddy of mine just left for the Air Force about a week ago.

For the attention. You think he would have done it if the Denver Post wasn't going to follow him around?

He is of the Reality TV generation and wants his 15 minutes.

Hopefully the Army beat the idiot out of him.

sound good

TheDoc 11-18-2009 07:51 AM

Deep story...Almost every American that is/has served has a story that sounds almost exactly like that. You feel the pain of change, but the pride of your nation, the want to serve and make something better that is bigger than you.

It's an honor to serve.. your country.

Anyone that hasn't served in the Military and questions what he is doing... kindly, fuck off.

This is a training photo, like boot camp. Early on, they are breathing through their mouths and only have an h-harness on, cammies are rolled up and inside out rolls, and they're in the army.

They look confused to me :)

marketsmart 11-18-2009 09:24 AM

in vietnam i was 19... na na na na na nineteen....

One of the moments when amazing photography tells more than a story and awakens dozens of emotions.
