You can buy the clear covers online for 4 dollars that includes shipping when verizon sells them for like 15? I like the phone, pop3 is a pain in the ass. Major update coming out Dec 11th.

I got the new Samsung Moment thru Sprint. I went with this over the HTC Hero because of the bigger processer, keyboard and AMOLED screen.
I ordered the Invisible Shield for it. I've had one on the past two phones I've used and they've save my screens on more than one occasion.
Any must have apps? I notice that quite a few of the popular iPhone apps have been ported over.
I have the T-mobile g1 with the Android OS, been quite happy with it for over a year great free apps, and easy too use after a few days of messin around with it =)

Fucking UPS driver claimed to have stopped and attempted to deliver the package.
I've been waiting all day and the fucker didn't even stop at my house. Didn't leave a slip but claims he stopped and couldn't deliver because there was no one home.
I told his supervisor that I could supply recorded and timestamped video of my front porch 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after the time he said he showed up and they wouldn't spot this or any other driver.
I'm still pissed, but my house will be the first stop on someone's route tomorrow. I just hope all the phones are in working order now.
I love my G1.. I only download free apps and there is a ton of great ones.

I just sold my iPhone on ebay for $345. I plan on buying an HTC Hero to use with my new Sprint Account without worrying about a 2-year committment. I'll comment back once I've purchased the Hero and load some apps on it.
Waiting for early Q1 when all the new HTCs are out. Reallllly wanted a Droid but opted to let the dust settle in a few months. This BB Pearl is falling apart :D.

My last three phones have been HTC. I have wanted to get my hands on the Hero since the first day I saw it. When my girl decided that she didn't like her Palm Pre I saw it as an opportunity to score myself a new phone with no hassle.
We were hesitant because we're on the SERO plan with Sprint and didn't want to give up our $25 a month packages that included unlimited data. But with the upgrade to the family plan it's actually only going to cost us $4 more per line and we get some new perks.
I do have a SERO plan I'd be willing to sell and transfer if anyone wants it.
Not sure if mine is the lowest, but I only pay $99 a month for unlimited everything.
I'm assuming that you are using your phone ALOT with such high plans? The typical scenario up here would be to pay about $600 for the Hero and the average user would go for a $0 a month plan with normal usage included (or a $10-30 a month with the largest carriers).
Hell I have been fucking DROOLING over the hero. Trying to figure out when I will be able to pay for the $100 plan I need every month to keep it on.
Sprint users... what's the lowest plan you have it on?
My girl and I used to each have SERO plans which were old employee referral plans. It was $30 a month (after tax) for 400 min, unlmited calling to other cell networks and unlimited text and data.
In order to get the new Hero or Samsung Moment, we had to upgrade the plans. So we merged and got a family plan (4 lines costs $115 as a former SERO customer). I sold the old SERO account on ebay for $150.
We've got 2500 minutes spread over all the phones, unlimited calling to all networks, unlimited text and data and it's just around $30 per line.
Wow, old thread coming back to life. I eventually decided to get the Droid in December rather than wait for Q1 options-- nothing as powerful with a physical keyboard seemed to be on anyone else's roadmap.
So far, very happy with the decision, except for that whole part about not realizing I cannot roam in Europe with Verizon.
I have a black mytouch and a white mytouch. One runs my business, the other is for personal. Having had an iphone for almost 3 years, I will never go back to it if the mytouch is still an option.

I paid $279 for the phone with a $100 mail in rebate making it $179. Plus I got money from my touch pro. I use my phone for business as well so I can rack up alot of talk, text and web time. I opted for the everything plan so I there wouldnt be any surprises. I pay the same amount every month and its less than I was paying with Verizon or AT&T.
