Send googlebot hits to advertisers?
I have a site that's being hit about once every 60 seconds by googlebot.
Is it right to send these hits to an advertiser that is paying me per click sent to them? I'm not doing that right now, but maybe I should. Would you, as an advertiser, like to get those hits, or not? |
You want to send bot hits to a paying customer? Please tell me I'm reading this wrong. :1orglaugh

Technically any sold ad links should be marked as 'nofollow' so that benefit wouldn't exist anyway... |

I know I wouldn't want that if I was paying. Unless there's some other benefit I'm not aware of. Hope all is well with you Matt. |

Like I said, I am *not* doing this right now, just trying to get a feeling for what the community thought of it. And, you guys have spoken loud and clear. I'm not an SE guru, so I thought that there might be some benefit to google spidering your site; obviously most don't think so. Thanks for all for your constructive comments. To CunningStunt: Sorry you've had some bad experiences with traffic sellers. I don't claim to be perfect, but at least I try to be honest about what I'm selling, and what its appropriate use is. I sell real traffic to real buyers, who come back and buy from me for years. I've got nothing to hide. |
