Anyone have a COMPELLING reason to upgrade from XP to Vista or 7?
Anyone know of any? I'm fairly open minded but XP (properly patched) has been one hell of a stable workhorse all these years. Anyone know of a COMPELLING reason to upgrade? Also, XP as a Netbook OS = WIN:thumbsup

I haven't heard any, and it seems like it would be a waste of time and potential trouble considering everything is working fine on a system already.
sure nice to consider buying new laptops now that win7 is out though |
Yes, I do:
Bill Gates said he would suck my balls if I did so. Bill-l-l? I'm in-stall-ing..... |
Unless you need more then 3.25 gigs ram there is no reason.
If you dont have a multi-core processor or need to use a lot of ram, there is probably no good reason.
so your friends can be impressed with you for having 7 before them.
No. I'm sure the guys with loaded up rigs doing a lot of video / photo | encoding / editing would though.
Because they finally did something right almost out of the box with Win7. That's why.
Because there is no room for 8 yr old software or hardware on ANY system I run for my business.
Anyone who takes themselves seriously as a webmaster should have atleast tried this new operating system. |

Now, I will put Win7 on a 2nd computer I'm building. I'm not about to fuck with my main computer though, I have everything setup the way I want. Don't fix what's not already broken. :2 cents::2 cents: |
It's 2009.
I didn't like Vista on my laptop, but the light version was ok. Windows 7 looks pretty hot now. If I didn't need the RAM etc. I wouldn't upgrade.
I just know I only been on Vista since August. The idea of switching seems very pointless at this point in time.
Plus I will be the first to admit. Most of my laptops do not have enough RAM to even run it at the recommended RAM requirements. Really do not desire new latops riight now, I am just really breaking these new laptops in. |
