So I bought a Wii for my children this christmas

Cashed in some pimproll points for Walmart gift cards and decided to use them to buy a Wii for my children this christmas.
I ordered the console, plus extra controller thing. It come with the sports game, any other suggestions on what worth getting. Children are aged between 4-6 years.

Animal crossing is a nice tame game for youngsters. Lots of reading involved, so it does help in that regard.

My son also loves anything with mario.

My 5 year old niece loves mini-golf and tennis.

Wii, that's cool. I never tried those.

Get a game that will give them some exercise. I liked punch out.

The new Wii Sports Resort is fun too. About the only thing I play on there.

Get "Wario's Smooth Moves", it's awesome. I can't say it will teach them anything though, maybe improve hand eye cordination.

It'll be a magical christmas for them.

Mario Kart
Boom blox

It's the only games that's worth getting. Nearly everything on Wii is shit. Install a NES-emulator and let them play Super Mario and other good old games.

lagcam 11-08-2009 01:41 PM

Get them some lego so they have something to do while they are waiting for you to finish playing with their wii :)

candyflip 11-08-2009 04:49 PM

Pretty much anything in the Wii catalog will be good for ages 4-6. That's the market they're targetting. :1orglaugh
