Who here still goes "clubbing"?

I'm 30 now and I'm over it. I seem to have much more fun at dive bars, sports bars, lounges and hotel bars. The women are 100x better and you can actually tell what they look like.

I'm over paying $400 for a $30 bottle of Grey Goose to hear Dj WHoGivesAShit and be inundated by plastic chicks/gold diggers and D-Bags.

Once in a while I still hit the clubs but I always seem to leave pretty quickly.

Who still enjoys "clubbing"?

Raf1 11-05-2009 10:11 AM

like with everything, it gets boring after a while. I did the clubbing thing for almost 10 years and that's quite enough.

Lace 11-05-2009 10:34 AM

Hell, I'm 23 and hate clubbing. I was out of that scene at 17 after using my fake ID for a summer. I don't like bars much either. I'd rather sit home with some friends and drink my $8 6pack of Heineken rather then pay $4.50 per Heineken. :2 cents:

Iron Fist 11-05-2009 10:44 AM

I like the music... basically the only reason I ever went....

corvette 11-05-2009 10:44 AM

i concur

beerptrol 11-05-2009 10:47 AM

I still like to club a few seals now and then

woj 11-05-2009 11:06 AM

yea, certainly not as fun for me either :(

OMG, DJ LintPockets is spinning tonight. The party is sponsored by Good Idea Ten Years Ago Energy Drink and my friends new apparel company Let Me Know How That Goes Clothing. Also, the wannabe famous gogo group, SoonToBeWornOutAlcoholicCokeWhores Inc. will be dancing and snubbing people because they're better than strippers. It's gonna be the best party of the year, again, again until next Tuesday, when I myspace about the one that's gonna be even better.

Forgot about WouldNeverDrinkItBrand Vodka sponsering a hosted bar for 15 minutes at 6pm

Rique 11-05-2009 01:17 PM

LOL Ditto! Went to UCLA (All good clubs back then were on Sunset Blvd), so by the time I graduated I had outgrown the whole 'club' scene. Much rather hang out with good friends, BYOB and not have to worry about getting raped by those $15 per shot of Hennessy prices. LOL

Loch 11-05-2009 01:20 PM

I got over clubbing after living in Praque for a couple of years....

digitaldivas 11-05-2009 01:21 PM

i heart clubbing

brassmonkey 11-05-2009 03:22 PM

damn itz been a while since i was on the game trail

Nicky 11-05-2009 03:23 PM

I'm 26 and I do It almost every week-end. Nothing beats a good big house party though. Now day's I almost think the pre-party is more fun and usually don't hit any club untill 01.

SleazyDream 11-05-2009 03:24 PM

after owning a night club people usually stop becoming regulars after about 25 - they go less and less frequent as they get older

NoWhErE 11-05-2009 03:28 PM

if you're over 24 and still clubbing regurlarly, you should re-evaluate your life and set some prorities straight

d-null 11-05-2009 03:29 PM

I'm over 30 too, and although I'd rather go to a casino 9 times out of 10, I still like the club atmosphere, but on any given night I'd probably do both :2 cents:

Is this why I end up with a bunch of business cards (Printed Free at Vista Print on the back) from DJs, when I check my pockets in the morning? When they see that I'm buying a bunch of drinks and everyone else is just standing at the bar with their 1 drink the whole night?

When you meet Mr. LintPockets, he tells you..oh I never pay for anything because I'm a special DJ..Oh I can get you in with MsSoontoBeCrackHoe

DanielS 11-05-2009 03:33 PM

I stop clubbing at 23. But I remember that old days... where 10-15 chicks came to me to say 'hi' and I only could choose 1 for the after clubbing...

Now that I broke up with my gf after 8 years...yes 8 years (i was just about to get married)... I'm thinking about going out again as a single guy...

Why can you choose only one? WEAKSAUCE!

brassmonkey 11-05-2009 03:44 PM

party nuttz are on the shelf the shootings at the end that made me stop going.

SomeCreep 11-05-2009 04:34 PM

I hate the whole club scene, but I still go with friends all the time. We play the game, do the rounds. Ugh, club chicks are the worst of the worst though.

I guess yanks can't start till 21, so thats probaby about right. i was over clubbing by about 21-22. I LOVE SPORTS BARS AND DIVES. my favorite places to go partying are usually grungy little rock/punk bars, with live bands, and cheap flat beer...

If anyone from Edmonton needs to understand my pace, my favorite place to get thrashed on a weekend is probably the Strat, maybe Blues on Whyte. Or Filthy's on bingo night. Seriosuly, Bingo night rocks ass...

Spunky 11-05-2009 06:02 PM

I'm 48 and still go every Saturday night although it's a popular pub, probably too old but wtf

CamTraffic 11-05-2009 06:16 PM

Over 30 now, those days are over, i was spending way too much money on that shit anyway... still enjoy cool bars around here and live Concerts more and more...

nowadays a grungy punk bar still counts as "clubbing" in my mind, just as a goth club counts, or the Metro or Oil City or wherever, when I think of "clubbing" I lump them all together, going out where there is booze and girls is the overall concept, regardless of the exact music that is playing :2 cents: it's all good ( although a Blues club you might have greater odds of people buying draft beer at a senior's special :1orglaugh )

genoveze 11-05-2009 08:40 PM

What about prague? I am invited there by a friend who said it rocks,

I go every weekend, I am probably going to quit very soon, but do something else wich envolves chicks and drinks, its just relaxing,

what else do you suggest as relaxation instead of clubs, and bars ?
what do you do ? I will give a corona pack to the best idea :)
I am not a casinos fan

HandballJim 11-05-2009 10:13 PM

Way too dangerous these days, just stepping on someones foot might get you hurt. I am also married now, so it seems senseless to go to a club and not try and pick up. :2 cents:

LoveSandra 11-05-2009 10:36 PM

happy birthday

After Shock Media 11-05-2009 10:39 PM

I will do the occasional dive bar/hole in the wall. Fucking hate "clubs" though. If the place is not fairly dim or dark, has its own unique bar smell, typically offers some shit you know you should not eat but do anyways, and cheap beer along with assorted shots. You will not see that many "mixed drinks" or novelty drinks, hell anything more mixed than a gin and tonic or the martini may get you thrown out. Very often they still have pool tables, darts, booths, and a juke box with music you either like or should not be in there. It is not about picking up women either. This is where you down some alcohol, tell a tale, or forget what is bothering you. There is no dancing.

Konda 11-06-2009 01:28 AM

I am 31 (but look 20-something) and still go out clubbing and partying every week, usually twice a weekend even. I still like it. I started doing it weekly when I was 16 (legal in the Netherlands where I grew up) so I have been doing it for quite some years. I don't dance much or anything. Just chill in the VIP with a few bottles of good champagne and hennessy and some party girls. Might sound pathetic for many, but I enjoy it and it makes me feel good, so who gives a fuck. Oh and I live in Asia, so it's cheap + I can get nearly any girl I want, so nothing to complain about.

Marialovesporn 11-06-2009 01:49 AM

If you like to go clubbin' , you'r e never to old. But when walking around on a party and feeling surrounded by 16 to 20 year old "kids", I feel like I am getting to old for this shit ........
And that sucks... but luckily now and then good club parties are organized where the "older" party people show up. Usually those parties are the best.

hypedough 11-06-2009 01:58 AM

Rather chill and smoke some bud rather than be in an over crowded clusterfuck.
