Why are people in the industry questioning why people not in the industry are trying to save the industry they're not in, that's the question.

Don't get me wrong, if they do, great! Personally I don't think the industry needs saving. Improvements, sure. Saving, no.

I just find it strange that some people's job description in this business seems to be town crier. They'd better serve themselves and the industry by doing something in it rather than screaming all day on GFY about how the sky is falling.

there are many here who play town crier on everything from saving the industry to conspiracy theories to government corruption. they feel their work is done when they tell everybody else the obvious.

The real question John, is... Why aren't the people IN THIS INDUSTRY trying to save it? Why does the guy outside the industry have to be the one trying to save it?

If it wasnt for people wanting to enjoy adult material then there would be no need for the industry.

The answer to the first question is that the industry is just as important to those that want it than those that provide it.

The answer to the second question is the same as Brad said to the first but he got it the wrong way round. It is John that has nothing better to do than to worry about others.

I doubt its people who "enjoy adult material" who sit here all day screaming about how the industry is dying when its not.

And, why the need to make a personal attack as part of your reply?

There are plenty who are doing what they can to help it. There are those who damage it also. Then there are those who just sit by the sidelines and pass commentary at everyone who is actually trying to do something in the industry.

One of the things that will most help move the industry forward and make it better is new blood. New ideas, new angles on things, fresh people with energy and drive.

If those people come here and are scared out of the business before they even start its not good for us as a whole.

Screaming at a message board all day is not going to help the industry. Contributing to it is.
