to ACPay webmasters...

Anyone out there who processes with ACPay?

Just wondering if that happens only to me:

Since Sunday Dec. 8 my new signup sales have dropped from around 15 daily to like 5 daily. This is going on now for 6 days in a row and I have no clue why... Its already a loss now of more than 60%!!!

Number of visitors, tour pages and server uptime: no significant changes since Sunday at all...

Someone else who is experiencing the same?

Va2k 12-13-2002 02:05 PM

Now why would you do that instead of coming here to complain first?

If you have any information, please post it here...

bradestes 12-13-2002 03:51 PM

We've seen a couple of weird bank errors pop up from time to time over the past couple of days, but nothing that would signify a dramatic drop like you've seen.

Just so you know, we have our 24 x 7 guys in here monitoring the sales traffic to make sure our systems engineers and programmers can get those lovely calls in the middle of the night if something goes wrong.

If you ever need anything, feel free to give me a call or drop me an ICQ.

Take Care,

Brad Estes

4 years? This is about AC Pay, not Adult Check. Doesn't make any difference if it's the same guys, it's a different service.

Pornwolf 12-13-2002 05:24 PM

Actually, it's not really that different. Same processing, only you get to set your price.

Eric 12-13-2002 05:24 PM

Have you guys tried to contact Therese? She is really cool and I am sure either her or someone over there can help you and find out if there are any problems.

freeadultcontent 12-13-2002 06:40 PM

My question.

How long does a new member have to join then cancel without ever getting charged. (not free trials either, just monthly types)

It may be a different service, but run by the same guys !Which to me means REALIBILITY !!:glugglug
Too many guys around here shoot from the lip, without getting their facts straight. It shows a lot of inexperience in the world of business. Why couldnt davidoff2000 just call, and get a direct answer?:2 cents:

JFK, I don't know david but it looked like he didn't call because he thought it was just him. It looks like he wasn't the only one that used the same logic. I don't think that automatically means he's inexperienced or that shoots off the lip without facts. It looks like he was checking to see if other webmasters had experienced the same problems he did first.

This is not all that unusual. Even veteran webmasters of AdultCheck post on outside boards about rebills being low or when it appears there's a processing problem without calling AdultCheck. Often they post to see if other webmasters are experiencing it BECAUSE AdultCheck doesn't see a problem anywhere or notice any significant declines during the period. This lets the webmaster at least know it's not just him.

I left AC Pay because they didnt offer decline stats. I attempted to inquire about decline info manually and was told that it was not possible. Was then told that it just didnt have priority and other things where being omplemented before. Not trying to imply that they are doing anything fishy because they are an honest company and they can be trusted, just hope that get more 'features' soon as there program is solid , just a little young.

Unfortunately, the answer is "it depends." Ultimately, if the user is going to charge back and has a fairly defensible reason, our hands are tied, and we'll go ahead and issue a refund to avoid the chargeback. Note that "fairly defensible," in the CC company's eyes, is not that difficult to acheive. So if a user calls up and says their kid stole their card, even if we seriously suspect it's not true, all we can do is issue a refund and ban the user from future transactions.

Now, the good news. Since our negative database is built from millions of transactions over years of info (from AC, GMS, ACMP, AC Pay and others), we have a lot of info we can use to filter out high-risk sales. We also have a lot of experience letting the good ones in, so we can keep your chargebacks low with minimal loss of good customers. And for those users who have a legitimate beef, our customer service folks are trained at talking users down and making them an offer that works (extending their rebill out a few days to make up for time they couldn't access a site, etc.).

Hi

ACPay have been great for us at cash-mountain. A few more reports would be nice, especially if we could get them remote via XML or something.. That would be pretty cutting edge !

We use AC Pay and haven't seen any changes to signups and rebills lately.
Our requests to them for 'decline email' notification and enhanced 'reseller' stats, have been met with prompt friendly replies that 'they are being developed' in the near future.

Cheers,:thumbsup

Just wondering if this has since worked itself out for you...?

Got hit by a similar drop w/ Probilling about that time, and they're saying that Visa forced em to install new fraud detection stuff that shot their rejection rate from ~0.5% to +80%...

anyways - thinkin of signing up with ACPay, so just wondering if yer rejection rates have gone back up to where they were...

dont blame ACPay, because your site dont sell

sexmagnet 12-28-2002 10:35 PM

I'm considering an acpay site.
But how much content are most of you guys using? And what are you charging?

I'd like to have some acpay sites on my linklist - which is fairly new and has all avs sites.

No recip needed but always appreciated.

Globill doesn't offer decline stats either. :(

I was suprised that these billers could not provide a custom page on decline. IE: so that you could attempt to accept them via a backup processor.

Looking for decline stats, member retention stats and the ability to set your own level of fraud scrubbing for your sites?

Let us show you the difference.
