Chameleon Submitter - worth it without the partner requester?
 

Was about to pick up the TGP/MGP submitter, confirmer, and partner requester but the partner requester is a minimum $99? Wtf? Why would I want to have the other 2 for one month and then have a partner requester to use for 2 more months afterwards with no submitter/confirmer to work with it?

How about the people at Chameleon throw up a discount thread for a 1 month partner requester setup? :winkwink: - I'm sure a lot of people look at that $99 fee and are turned off.. I mean if I could just get all 3 for a 1 month deal then I would happily renew my subscription to them if everything works out, but I can't really justify it on something I'm testing out for the first time..

What kind of traffic can you expect without it? 1-5k/day? From what I hear the partner requester is where you get your monies worth and real traffic in this program, I don't really want to only pick up the first 2 for no reason when you need all 3 to get anywhere..

You only need the requester for one day really, there won't be many new worthwhile tgp's being added in 3 months. I guess they have it like that just to squeeze some more money out of it.

Yeah it sucks that something you only need for a day or so is 4x as much as the things you'll be using every day.. but it's basically pointless to even mess with Chameleon unless you include the partner requester in your purchase, right?

the database is crap, make sure you check all sites. most seem to be thrown in there just to get recip traffic..

Partner Requester costs that much because it's a pain in the ass to constantly update the database, just like the Submitter programs. However, it is not worth it IMHO because the free partner accounts you can get are dwarfed by the traffic you can get from the top 10-20 TGP sites. However most of them are paid partner accounts and you'll have to get them manually anyway... but if you can't afford a few paid partner accounts then submitting galleries probably isn't a good idea anyway.

Can you say what is the going rate for partner accounts?

It seems like most sites charge between $30 and $100 per month for a partner account

No it's worth it without. I think I only got PA's to tgps I had never heard about when I tried it a few years ago. The submitter is only $27 or something a month so just test it out and you'll soon know if it's worth to renew.

ya still the same. i tried it again a few weeks ago. horrible sites included and it doesnt save u any work. its a $99 ripoff.

every submit page has a partner request link. so the easy thing to do is just request partner accounts when u are posting a gallery. (and/or talk to shemp lol)

confirmer is vital tho..

but if you can submit for free, why pay for partner account?

I must be the sites not on the submiter which you have to pay for that the partner requester to give you access to?

the question is whether the price of the requester + submitter + partner fees gets the traffic to get sales?

so would it be $30 +$99 + say $500 for partners ( I have no idea having not done this ) so then we as a paysite would need 25 sales to cover at least our costs , so say we would need 25,000 to 100,000 clicks....

actually chameleon partner requester has free and paid accounts. and it only has tgps that are in submitter. they share a database.

If you can get porn for free, why pay for it? Why pay for anything? Cause anything 'free' is typically less value than something you pay for. Hey I can get free bread at the restaurant, why pay for a meal? Basically, a paid partner account at site A will give you tons more exposure than a free partner account at site B.

Most are in the submitter, you just need to buy the partner accounts to submit to them.

What else would the question be?

Most free partner accounts are worthless (MOST... there are some exceptions I won't mention).

Chameleon Submitter is great if you have paid partner accounts and want to submit to them all easily. But I'm telling you, its really getting harder and harder to make your money back with TGPs

i bought it before and didnt notice any difference other than just paying more. i think i got a few more galleries submitted then prior, but no more sales

My experience has been with the just the free sites and a lot of them have very little or no traffic, that said sites with gigantic traffic don't allways make good sales as they have a following of hardened porn lovers who have long ago given up on the idea of buying anything.

Sometimes though a gallery will be reposted in strange places, blogs, forums...and it takes on a life of its own sending traffic month after month. Not always the gallery we would have guessed.

And slowly we have made sales from it.... So we would be interested in maybe finding some partner sites.

Not looking to make sales from the traffic directly.. just want to get a steady flow of traffic going to build trades. Sales with come later.

:2 cents: ya this is true. a submission 2-3 years ago would bring in a couple dozen (or more) sales. now its hard to get any sales -- if u can even get it posted. having partner accounts dont even guarantee a post. tgp submission is too easy. way too many weekend hacks doing it now.

i only recommend tgps for branding (like any porn-based marketing (they all suck)). most surfers wont buy on a site they've never heard of. if u are desperate for sales, spend your time on other marketing campaigns that will convert better.
