Yack, hollywood remakes was bad enough.

I rarely had issue with Hollywood remakes since it has been going on as long as there has been film. Every so often yes they take it to far, and they do need a lot of crap to help pay for the occasional breakthrough original film.

Just caught the commercial for "the box" and well lets say I am not super thrilled. Does this mean if it works out and does enough box office, they will then start turning every single twilight zone, outer limits, and other such shows episodes into full length movies.

It was one thing when during the 80's or so that they did trilogy type films where you got 3 short films in one feature and they had such episodes in them, but full length films from such stories as what the box is based on?

They will remake anything if they think they can make 2 nickles off it.

Lets have a contest. Name the worst remakes ever.

That at least was a full movie and not a twilight zone episode.

Nope, never been approached and doubt I rank high enough on Sleazy's list of interest, nor enough readers interests.
There only is a tad bit of dirt, all of which I have always spoken about or at least never hid. So not sure what else could be "interesting".

Is Howard Stern still producing the Revenge of the Nerds "reboot".

I love that they've coined a new term so that people don't think it's "just another remake".

http://images2.fanpop.com/images/pho...2-1024-768.jpgI wish someone would bring SPACE:1999 to the big screen. That would kick ass.

I know quite a few of Steven King's short stories have made it to film. And they have turned out to be far from average films. A couple that come to mind quickly are Shawshank Redemption, and Stand By Me. Both were short stories at very short length (considering the stories they told).

Many of the old Twilight Zone shorts were also based on similar stories, and I believe also by similar authors. All fairly accomplished and known. So I guess theoretically I would understand why we may start seeing more of those type shows/stories, coming to the big screen.

The Toxic Avenger is now a musical in Toronto.

I am seriously surprised that it hasn't been done already. I knew it was gone totally into the shit hole in Hollywood when they decided to remake Fame.

Most of the short SK stories made into movies were absolute crap.
