I have always like political thrillers and this is a good one. Helen Mirren is great as the ruthless editor of the Washington Globe (the newspaper investigating the story). It is a film adaptation of six-part British television serial of the same name, which first aired on BBC One back in 2003. Sex, scandal & politics usually make for a good film.

Plot

When his mistress is found dead, Congressman Stephen Collins (Ben Affleck) tries desperately to protect his name and career. As journalists Cal (Russell Crowe) and Della (Rachel McAdams) investigate further, they uncover an intricate web of lies that stretches to the highest levels of power. Based on the critically acclaimed BBC miniseries, this intriguing political thriller co-stars Helen Mirren, Robin Wright Penn and Jason Bateman.

Really entertaining movie.Russell Crowe is a damn good actor!

It kind of felt like All the President's Men at some points. I liked it.
