twistyneck 12-13-2002 01:54 AM

Hell yeah they're legal. Get some pepper spray too, you know, for a back up.

Seaz 12-13-2002 01:55 AM

its for my girlfriend actualy so i want it to be small. I dont go out enought to worry about things like that

Babaganoosh 12-13-2002 01:56 AM

Stun guns are a bad deal. Generally speaking, pepper spray is better. Stun guns are more likely to be effective against someone on some serious drugs, but the problem is you have to actually get close enough to touch them. Pepper spray is legal almost everywhere too. If you doubt how powerful it is, spray yourself.

a small .22 might work. tazers suck.

I have been sprayed with both Sabre and the MK3 from First Defense. Both were bad but the MK3 was the worst. I think I would rather be shot.

Check http://www.galls.com or go right to the MK3

Napalm in a can would be a cool anti-attack thing. Handy for those emergency BBQ`s too.

pepper spray - you can get it at most hunting stores.

when i lived in banff, we always carried spray when hiking. don't get the tiny canisters - go for the grizzly bear version. powerful stuff.

there are bear versions that should fit in a regular-sized purse. go to a hunting store, or a hiking/sports store.

No shit. Pepper spray has the same kind of effect as tear gas, right? I've been teargassed twice. My dad owned a gun shop when I was growing up, and his half-assed security system included cans of tear gas that were set up with trip wires across the doorways. My dad is the world's biggest goofball, so twice he tripped them while he was opening up the shop. :waaaaahh

what works good against dogs ? Like pitbulls, rotweilers etc. We got to many grazy people here that take these kind of dogs for a walk without a leash or anything. I wanted to get a hunting knife but its illegal to walk around with it. Same goes for handguns.

Dude, aren't you a ninja? Throw one of those little throwing stars at 'em, fight 'em off with your nunchucks or something. :1orglaugh

DarkJedi 12-13-2002 03:48 AM

well, i'm not allowed to walk around with cold weapons, even if i'm a ninja

You may wish to consider the benefits of a 'stun baton' rather than a stun gun. Longer reach, and just all around more effective. If the guy attempts to grab it off you, he's done.

Here's the one I have, one of the better ones out there. 300K volts... it charges everywhere on the shaft past the hilt.
