Do you notice a trend with your sales?

A friend of mine works in a non-adult online business and he's into statistics.

He noticed a sales trend with his business. On the beginning of the month it's dead, then sales start to pick up around the 4th and really pick up steam up on the 8th. The sales peak to their highest level of the month on the 12'th then go down. Theres a small spike of sales on the 21'st, then they die down again and the lowest levels are from the 28'th of each month until the 3'rd of the next month before they pick up again.

I checked my own stats an this basically holds true for me. Today, the 12'th, was a great day for sales. Same on the 12'th of last month.

At the beginning of every month I'm like "where did all the sales go?" and I think I'm fucked, then around the 12'th the sales just start rolling in out of nowhere.

The end of the month and the beggining of the month are slow for me too, but things start to go up a lot before the 12th, more like the 6st.

Could be people have their bills come in at the beginning of the month and may be less apt to make a purchase?:2 cents:

yeah i think that's exactly what that is, but traffic stays up all month (except weekends).
I think people bookmark and plan to return later, then mid month after they've payed bills and see they still have some cash left over, then they buy.

Our best period is the first two weeks, the third is slow and the fourth picks it up again.

But you're a content provider, so unless you run paysites too, it's a totally different market.

My best sales days are always Sunday and Monday. The first few days of a month are always slow. December and the new year has always been a time for me, let's see what happens this time.
