I seriously fucking hate the ease at which CL lets people flag shit... I just had 2 totally innocent CL posts get flagged and removed and I was following "the rules"

Bastards.

There is a way to stop it, or save your CL from being flagged off all the time.

Were you going after some design clients, JD? If so, you're not the only one that this happens to. I know I have a few freelance design friends in college and occasionally they try to drum up some new work. They post great ads, have great portfolios, all that... and BAM, flagged within 24 hours! Competition is rough. :Oh crap

well, nowadays is hard to post on craigslist and stay there.. even if your posts are legit..

they had to cut the spam some way.. that's why you see that those craigslist black hat tactics don't wotkj anymore.. and so many guys complaining that they can't do any more money with AFF and fake-whoring...

Unfortunately, cutting spam has also affected everyone..

If your legit post gets flagged and you ask ion their forum why, you don't see moderators giving a reason, you see users.. so there is no way you can know why it was flagged.

What's total bullshit about CL is that they don't have a Captcha for flaggers, ONLY for posters.

I've never posted an ad that wasn't legitimate, yet every single thing I post gets flagged. And their flagging email says "98% of all flagged ads were in violation of our rules." Really, Craig? Is that a fact?

I get enRAGED when my posts get flagged (when they ARE NOT spam) its like people sit and wait for a competing post to flag.

Some days I'm THIS close to sitting and flagging any I feel like.... I'm better than that though

What pisses me off is that my legitimate job ads get flagged consistently 100% of the time. But some douche-bag's ads that say "I n33d some nappy headed ho to cum play with my ballz 2day, I will pay u $10 in Cheetoz" stays up.

You could get your account phone verified, that would help alot with not getting your shit flagged so much.


HOWEVER, I do agree that CL has a flag happy community and most of the content on there is spam or a scam.

Flagged and removed, eh. Yeah, it happens.

We posted ads for a mainstream version of our software, and an ad for some beta testers for our mainstream side again, and got flagged for both. Just before that though, my own ad was spammed by some fucker selling viagra.

I don't use craiglist except to buy (and not even that often), but now y'all are making me wonder if I'm missing any sweet deals thanks to jerkass flag-happy sprees =P
