Porn is illegal and its illegal to do any kind of work without a work permit so don't tell anyone better safe than sorry.
Where are you moving to? |
sounds exciting.
Just don't go around putting dog's heads on poles :2 cents: :thumbsup |
:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh welcome to the zoo
|
I fart in Thai bitch's nostrils before I let them suck my dick. Sometimes I let a juicy one out in their hair and dunk their heads in the toilet while I bang their butthole with a plunger. Have fun.
|
Congrats. What will your costs of living be over there?
|
Here is an example, i dont know if this is still the law or not.
6-8 years ago i knew a few people shooting out there, they would shoot, straight away rip the tapes, destroy the tapes and then process/upload the content and delete it from their computers. You got caught shooting back then it was straight to jail, do not pass go etc |

Sorry not true, you can work remotely in thailand no problem without a work permit. |
Porn is completely illegal in Thailand. And, if you were to get caught shooting such content, the consequences could be heavy (unless your 'connected' or 'protected in some way). However, working remotely without a work permit is questionable. I know a ton of foreigners ('farangs') who live there and work remotely, in both mainstream and adult sectors, and they do fine but they don't broadcast their lives to anyone. So, best advice: (1) Your business is YOUR business only. Keep it yourself, especially if you're quite successful and (2) be sure that the girls that you're bringing back each night aren't seeing what you're up to (blackmail is a bitch). Simply close down the laptop each night before you head out. :)
Top spots: Party hard / be a dirtbag - Pattaya Anonymous fun (based on the sheer size of, and selection in, the city) - Bangkok Party hard / be a dirtbag on beautiful beaches / pay a lot more than anywhere else in Thailand - Phuket Up the standard / party with lots of idiot week/two weeks tourists / be ripped off for everything - Koh Samui (applies to Phuket as well) To experience the 'real' Thailand and find hot girls who are (generally) not complete hoes - Hua Hin and Chiang Mai |

I have been researching it on ThaiVisa among other places and the impression I got were that its a gray zone and probably not legal but no one had a definite answer to it. |

Download the series "Big Trouble In Tourist Thailand" on btjunkie.org, it'll give you a lot of pointers on how to survive in Thailand...

That being said, the other option you can do is set up a co. ltd. here, hire a few thais who won't actually work for you, and get a work permit. Monthly this will cost around 8000baht to maintain. This has many benefits (visas, etc) but it does put you on the radar. |

Having a Thai company and a work permit and the requisite amount of Thais working for you makes you liable to random visits by Inspectors to make sure that these jobs do exist and that the named people are doing the specific work stated on their employment contracts at the places and times they are supposed to be doing it at. However, sitting in Thailand remotely working in another country is not against any actual current Thai Law, but is also not something you should walk around the street with a large banner announcing, as who knows how long until it will be. |

for fuck sakes, good luck...yes always better to be quiet about what you do anyways ;-)

Its not a big deal, why would it even happen to slip out? Tell them you do sell ladies purses on the internet and even setup a fake website for it and that is only if they ask.
Make sure your computer requires a password to login, and always make sure you lock it when you step out for any reason. This all may sound like its some big scary thing, but really its pretty simple and easy. To be extra cool just run a VPN tunnel to your dedicated servers. This will allow all your traffic to flow freely and encrypted. The only traffic they will see on your home ISP is encrypted traffic back and forth from your dedicated servers. Your dedicated server is the one then connecting to all the sites you are visiting. How much income are you going there with? How do you plan to live and did you decide on a city yet? |

Exactly, you need to employ 4 Thai workers per work permit. Sitting in Thailand remotely is not illegal but if I am not mistaken if you stay more than 180 days you are deemed a resident and liable for taxes. |

Just keep a low profile, if anyone asks say you live off your savings, or that you rent your property back home. Nobody really cares to know more. |

You moving over there with your wife and kid? Crazy stuff.
|
i don't tell a soul what i do in north america, how hard could it be to do the same there?
|
been reading different reports on visas. before you had to leave and re-enter every three months. if that still in effect. what would be the best if you wanted to stay for a few years?
|
I'm online (even if it says I'm not), hit me up ICQ. Can tell you anything you want to know.

I'm cruising thru Phuket and Bangkok next month.
I'll be in country for about two weeks. I'm looking for a change as my retirement is slowly approaching. Stickmanbangkok.com is a great site for information on Pattaya and Bangkok if you are looking for some nightlife advice. I will be visiting some friends, checking out places I've visited before, looking for some new products for retailers, and, relaxing in general. I love Thailand; but, Phuket is kinda screwed up. Twenty years ago, it was a sweet sexy backwater with cold beer, hot pussy and nice beaches. Now, more like tourist hell. But, never boring....:thumbsup |
congrats! Maybe some day..

ok let me make this a little more clear, I am going to live there for a few months 3 is max and than you need to leave for the day and return for another 3 months.
my wife and kids are staying here.. I am going there for the main reason of training mauy thai and seeing a beautiful place.. for 10 years my girlfriend sees me sitting in a room working, we went through some rough times.. seeked help and were doing extrememly well now. I always held back from going to such place.. or travelling to webmasters shows because my family came first.. this time my girlfriend tells me to go, I am not getting any younger nor have i been outta canada.. this is a treat for me. |
Just enjoy it! :)

There is nothing in particular you need to know, internet is available everywhere and these days there is a Seven Eleven, ATM, etc, at the corner of every street. Convenience is what Thailand does best. Everything you want on tap 24/7. One suggestion, don't leave for just on day after 3 months, visit the Philippines or something, you might find that you like it better :upsidedow Where are you planning to go for your Muay training and how good are you? If I am around I can introduce you to the right people. |
Oh, it is just a holiday.
I agree with Slappin Fish, visit some other countries also. And don't stay in just 1 place, go also to Phi Phi island. I suggest Cambodia for 3 weeks, Vietnam for 3 weeks, Bali, or go to Malaysia. Tickets are realy cheap in asia. |

Fight Passport |
I've finally gotten my ass out of Asia. Never again.
If you like spending 30 minutes trying to get your email through a VPN then by all means go. I can't imagine how much money I lost by living there. Without exaggeration I get more done in a couple hours now then I did in an entire day there. |

I know your going there for training... but if you have never been there prepare to get mind f*cked.... it's one crazy place. Enjoy... I like Pattaya... but it is a party town |
