Vbulletin and Nats DB
I am looking to replace my existing messageobard with vbulletin, and wondering if anyone has incorporated their active members DB of Nats to be auto registered members for the Vbulletin. Is this possible?
|
Actually....I would like to know the answer to this question too.......
|
Interesting.... be curious to know
|
Great question :) I'm curious about this too.
|
I received a responce from Boris at Nats, regarding using one's Nats DB for authentication purposes for the Vbulletin, and was told it can be done with a programmer.
"1) you can modify vbulletin code to use the nats db for authentication this might prove very tricky 2) you can use nats postbacks or user management to modify the vbulletin user db that is probably easier" ANyone interested in this? |
Bump for new interest in this.

I might know a guy who can do this. Hit me up.
|
I'll check with my programmer, will see if he's up for this.

imp/ex your core nats member db in... then use a postback to catch new regs.
You can use the core vbulletin code with mods to hit from nats user authentication, but it will be break and need to be updated again if you upgrade your vb install at any time. |
I'd say you could start with exporting the user:pass and importing into vb... Then to keep that updated you can use the postback like they suggested so it will modify vb users too.
