i watched the premiere tuesday nite and found it to be excellent.

Going to be watching tonight. Alex Jones is on top of his game these days with his latest releases.

What makes one legit and the other not legit? I'll watch both and gain new information from both. AJ can be a little over the top. Even he will admit that, but what he does say is not to not believe him and investigate yourself the things he says.

having watched both, my conclusion is the frontline doc is more legit.

i also find things such as the charlie sheen video alex jones produced to be more sensationalizing than documenting.

similar to michael moore, i think alex jones isn't beyond embellishing the facts to sell more DVDs

People who ordered DVDs for the most part haven't even got theirs. You can watch it for free. How is he trying to sell something again?

selling DVDs is in regards to his revenue generating in entirety. if you haven't seen all the ads on infowars/prison planet/etc nor heard all the ads playing on his national syndicated radio show, then we really don't have a starting point for a discussion.

Are you serious? He has built his empire off propaganda, dissent and fear mongering, typically catering to the lowest denominator in society. Many if not most of his "news" doesn't just stop there, he injects his own wild opinions and theories as facts and often times goes way outside the boundaries of logic or reasoning.

Just look at his site with all his cash generating ads. On the front page I counted at least 25, not to mention his donation button.

On a side note. He isn't interested in the truth or enlightening people. If you have followed him over the years he always seems to be on the flip side of every administration. The man caters to the anti-government and conspiracy crowd and turned it into a business.

The usual suspect deniers always come out to play. Watch the movie do your own research. It's free and it's the facts. Quit using the excuse he's trying to make money off of you. I'll worry about paying for it you watch it for free. In fact if your truly interested I'll give a few people free logins to PP. I've got a few accounts and can give out up to 6 each. Of course he has ads all over his site and his radio show. How the hell do you think he pays for the operation? I listen to four hours of live streaming a day for free. You can too

Sometimes when Alex Jones is going off I cringe too. I don't go along with everything he says, but I do find some of the news he shares interesting. His documentaries are good because he's not live and ranting and raving like he's known to sometimes do. What he does do is ask you to do your own research. He's not asking you to believe in what he says blindly.

I'm not really referring to you because as you said you actually watched it rather than just say you aren't going to watch it for whatever lame reason.

As far as the other. I find it pretty amusing that anyone can blame the guy for trying to make money and pay for his operation especially after the big commotion that went on around here recently. I'm sure he would love to have a few hundred thousand to throw around on making informative movies to give away free all day long. Who wouldn't?

I've got no more reason to believe him than the crazy old man on the street. Who is Alex Jones? Why does he get any more creditbility than anyone else? Why does he feel the need to go so far and alienate 90% of the population and make himself look like a fool?

How is he alienating 90% of the population? Actually he's trying to tell 99.999% of the population that a very small group of said population is fucking everyone else over and we'd all be much better off without them.

That is an easy question to answer. I used to check him out from time to time and was completely turned off by his theatrics, sensationalism, irrational rants and ravings, loosing his composure and at times losing touch with reason and logic.

Someone above posted a perfect example of it. I don't need my information presented to me by someone who by all accounts seems to be a madman.

Everything he talks about I have seen through other sources. I find him repulsive so yes... I am one of those people he has turned away or alienated.

Of course I have and when they show their stripes I kick them to the curb. I have zero tolerance for that type of bullshit, hence my disregard of Alex Jones. By your estimation, because some people act like that then ALL must act like that to be normal. What a moronic statement.

Alex is barely in the movie really. It's filed with other people who have been telling it like it is all along and 90+% of the population doesn't want to listen. That's ok though it will only take 4-5% like last time.

In this day and age that will never happen. People are to lazy and can't be bothered when they have their reality TV programs to watch or the Starbucks non-fat latte to drink or their newest video game to play or their social networking site to camp out on.

Especially not since 9/11 and the new all encompassing use of the word "terrorist" in junction with the Patriot Act. The only thing an uprising or a revolution like that will produce is a tighter grip and an erasure of rights of US citizens by the Government and it's military.

That's the point of the movie. To wake people up from their sleep before it does get to that point. If they are allowed to continue it will be worse than that. Great Depression and WWII combined plus some. And when all of those sleeping people wake up one morning with nothing else to lose then all hell is going to break loose.
