Nothing will change until the majority of the population understands the problem. If the majority of the population understood the problem before the 2008 elections barely anyone would have voted for Barack Obama or John McCain.

Not one man, not even a small group of people are going to be able to do anything about this shit. The general populace has to wake up and come together.

And how would things be different now? Would people just have not voted or would they have voted for a 3rd party candidate. If it is a 3rd party candidate who would it be and would they have magically fixed all the problems of the country? If it was just that they wouldn't have voted, we would still be in the same situation because even if only a few votes were cast, one of those two guys would have still won.

If people really want change they will have to vote 3rd party not only for president but for all state and local elections as well. the problem is most people really don't want a change and really don't care if anything is wrong with the country.
