Do you believe in Google Sandbox?
A theory which says that google puts an filter on new websites.
I had a new blog ranking at number 5 for a nice key phrase and It was suddenly dropped out of the index. Everything is OK on that website and I'm still updating it but It still doesn't appear in google for the terms It used to be at No. 5. The other sites ranking on 1st page have way less content and updates than I have, still they are ranking fine while I'm dropped out. For the moments, It is not in top 100 despite I update it regularly with fresh hand written posts. I've proper keyword density and blog is not spammy at all. What are your thoughts and possible cause of this? |
no, but i believe in love.

I want to believe...

what nice keyword?

Happens to most of my new sites when I finally post them with content. They sit in top 10 for a few days then drop out of top 100. They remain indexed but wont pop up in top 100 for the targeted keyword for a few weeks and when they do its often a lower rank than it originally was but they tend to climb back steadily to top 20 or 10 with no tinkering. The first time i did it i freaked out when it dropped out cuz i got used to the few days of sales from a lot of SE traffic on this site, i thought a competitor sabotaged it somehow.
That behavior could be just based on how my sites are and how I add in backlinks and how google finds them. no idea how it is for others. also i go for keywords that dont have a whole lot of competition if that makes things different, i dunno, im no expert. Anyways, if thats what google sandbox is then I can say its real. |
