80 mph, max altitude 8000 feet, range 140 miles, uses normal gas...

Let's see the cops catch you for anything in this baby.

Jesus, I fucking hope so. Sometimes it would be nice to be rich.
I think The Hun needs to sponsor me. I'll plaster the thing with TheHun.net stickers and wear the Hun shirt everywhere I fly it.

I saw this on the Discovery channel... the inventor is getting a shitload of funding from the military - and he has yet to test fly it.

funkmaster 12-12-2002 02:51 PM

"and he has yet to test fly it."

... looks like they will put the presure on the buyers now ?

Mr.Fiction 12-12-2002 02:53 PM

That's what the Segway should have been if they wanted to live up to the hype.

Bobby Vicious 12-12-2002 02:56 PM

I heard when you purchase one they throw in a casket for free.:thumbsup

There is a video at the bottom of the page showing it getting about 6 feet off the ground.

It's got to be very loud with your head 1 foot away from the props.

I can't believe that thing is just now bieng developed. C'mon guys! How many times have each of us thought about that same setup?!

SpaceAce 12-12-2002 03:35 PM

SoloTrek has been "just around the corner" for about five years, now. They've been pre-selling them for ages and I don't think one has every even made it into the air, yet.

Edit: I see SoloTrek claims to have flown in December 2001. Probably a five-feet-up, five-feet-down hover.

coolest thing you've ever seen? fuck... i saw this braud put a piece of ice on the small of her back, jiggled her butt checks & made it slide ever so slowly between her butt cheeks.... the piece of ice then made its way to her pussy where she sucked it up. yes, with her PUSSY. now that's some cool ass shit! :thumbsup

wouncie 12-12-2002 07:27 PM

I wouldnt trust that machine doing 80mh, being they barely show'd a take off on the clip.

Yeah you'd be an ass to buy something that isn't working yet.

I thought after seeing that in Mens Health mag that it was a fully working self man helicopter.

But I just watched the demo video and yeah great here is our demo of the wonderous Solotrek in ACTION. They forgot to computer edit out the 3 stabilizing cords that kept the thing from smashing into the ground :)

It was on a bond film like 40 years ago too.Well almost.

Kiko_Wu 12-12-2002 09:28 PM

Anybody with even a TINY bit of an engineering background will tell you that there is no way it is going to do 140 miles on regular gas. I'll see if I can do the math later but you have room for *maybe* a ten gallon tank in that- any more and the weight of the full tank would require larger turbines and engines to take off. There's not a lot of surface area there and the blades can can't go faster the 340 meters per second- or else they break the sound barrier and fly apart. So there is a very finite limit to the thrust you can generate- which in turn limits the amount of fuel you can carry. Jets use jet fuel for a reason- it has the potential to generate much more power per cubic centimeter. There is no way it's going to get 14 miles to the gallon, the physics just don't back it up. Any kind of vertical lift uses a massive amount of fuel- there is no capacity to glide. Every minute you are up you are burning energy both to generate lift and gain forward momentum.

opflix 12-12-2002 09:35 PM

omg... just reading what this braud writes makes me SO FUCKING HORNY. your brain is..... its.... uh oh.... sticky keys....

Kiko_Wu 12-12-2002 10:23 PM

Yeah, I'm told brains are a plus because it's much more satisfying when you make a smart girl beg for it LOL. Serously, if you let a guy say "Not so smart now are you!" while you blow him you pretty much have a slave for life:thumbsup

OzKaNoz 12-12-2002 11:04 PM

Man that thing looks heavy. How would you even stand up with it much less land?

Hmm
