The shopping bag? The chicken goes inside of it, not the other way around.

I did that in college the 1st time I did up a turkey. The roommates and I didn't know what the fuck.

Lol, nah. Rubber chicken?
|
ick!
i buy them without the bag, no real use for all the organs |
Depends what kind of bag is inside it. If it is indeed a colostomy bag, take it out before you cook the chicken, please.

Chickens typically do not get a plastic bag inside, they just get the bulk organs and if your lucky the neck.
Turkeys often do have the neck and a bag of organs. Yes by accident I have cooked it with the bag in it. I removed the neck, could not locate the bag and felt very cheated. I use that stuff. Anyways turkey gets done and I notice a bag of steamed organs inside of it. Guess it was frozen/still stuck to the very top of the cavity. PS - those organs were pretty useless by then. Would never do it on purpose with a turkey. I do know that the inside of the bird does not get hot enough to melt the plastic or even cause fumes to be released. I often add plastic wrap to casserole dishes underneath a layer of foil when baking something. |
Please tell me when you say bag you don't mean condom:helpme
