I keep getting pop ups for spy ware alerts trying to sell me a service. I also get explorer opening up with naughtyamerica.com and porno.org . WTF?????

Wtf indeed. That is a virus, ladies and gentlemen.

you sure thats from NA? or one of the other 1000 sites you go to?

is there an affiliate code in the popup?


if so you may be able to demand the address of the offender or have the company charged under the homeland security legislation...scarry stuff

I'm the Director of Technology for Naughty America.

Can you give me some more info regarding this. We are not seeing any issues and have not had any other reports, nor to we condone viruses or spyware use in any way.

Are you saying you see some sort of virus alert when you visit Naughty America or are you just getting popups that open to Naughty America? Urls?

Update:

I'm working with Urbanpimp now to resolve his issue. We believe this is an affiliate who is using malware to send traffic and generate sales. As soon as we can determine the affiliate we'll shut the account down. He is also getting these popups for adult.com and porno.org, so they may want to investigate as well.

Just so we're clear Naughty America isn't infecting anyone and we're doing everything we can to locate the person that is.

1) Download Mozilla Firefox
2) Download the addon "NoScript"
3) ???
4) Profit.

Using NoScript is probably not 100% safe way of surfinf on the net, but it enhances your browser by a very high increased level of security, as no single script will be running, unless given the permission for it.

Using NoScript for 5 years now, never had any virus or keylogger on my pc :)

No virus protection an 2 macs for 5 years and not one virus. Got to love Apple for trouble free surfing!!! And i do go to porn sites and to sites that Google gives warnings to. Nothing, Nadda, silch!!:thumbsup

I've had all the benefits of OSX with none of the costs for 12 years now... :winkwink:
