New popup technology built into IE...
 

....help me get rid of it.

This bugger is clever:

Not a running program (nothing appears in task list).
Not a modified Hosts file.


Something added into IE by a hacker that popups ING and GoToMyPC ads once in a while.


Anyone got the fix?

ran a bunch of adware removal programs...nothing!

If its that bad, you'll need to go into RegEdit and see what's been modified in your registry.

How often are you limited by your machine?

Does it lock up during defrag?

Saving images as bitmaps?

To solve the problem with the images been saved as bitmaps you usually just have to empty your Temporary Internet Files folder :)

I have thought about this too, just so I could save Christmas, but all that windows sofware would go to waste.

Ya, maybe I should switch...then I could have the ability to choose between only 2 existing pieces of Apple software, ROTFL.

there are 70% chances that it is an activeX control that activates your popups.

in IE got to Tools->Internet Options-> Settings-> View Objects
delete all that shit BUT leave the google toolbar control, the flash plugin and shockwave plugin (if they're installed of course).
