Programmers, looking for work?

Attention to all experienced programmers. We are currently seeking programmers who can follow instructions, are experienced, self-motivated, can complete tasks in a timely manner, are fluent in English and are looking for a stream of steady work.

We do not require exclusivity. If you work for someone else [and it does not violate your existing contract] or are an independent, we are interested in hearing from you.

Candidates should meet or exceed the following requirements:

5+ years of working with PHP
3+ years of working with MySQL

Additional skills that would be helpful are:

Experience working with OOP
Experience working with MVC Frameworks
CSS/Javascript/AJAX knowledge
Some basic photoshop (or similar) skills
Knowledge of other languages such as C+, C#, ASP, Java, Coldfusion, etc

All candidates must have Skype installed on their work stations as this will be our instant messenger of choice. It is free, so if interested in working with us, install it. You don't have to tell anyone else what it is.

As stated above, the ability to follow instructions is extremely important, so the following should be read twice if you have any questions.

1. Send us an email to [email protected], Subject: Got Programming (very important that you use this subject due to filters).

2. Tell how many years of PHP and MySQL programming experience you have.

3. Itemize which of the "additional skills" listed above you hold.

4. Provide some examples of code you have written.

5. Provide your Skype account that will be used for communicating with us.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yes it is and yes it is. Luckily my search appears to be returning better results than expected. Has caused me to rethink this a little.

We have gotten some excellent candidates, but could still use some more.

Note to Indian and Filipino outsourcing companies: You need not apply. We are looking for individuals, we are not interested in entering into any contracts with any of you.

Thank you for your understanding.

I only got 1 programmer looking for work at this time but I am sure he is way outta range of what you are looking for. He has worked with such companies as Apple and Facebook so is in one of the highest levels of programming possible.

If you are looking for a commander though.....let me know, otherwise bump for great employment opportunity for someone in search for work. :)

Not sure why you would jump to conclusions, but if you are outsourcing him, you are right, not interested.

If he is interested, send him a link to the thread and let him apply.

Out of curiosity, I don't see the job brief.
Some useful details could be:

- What the project [or general nature is ]
- Expected hours, expected pay
- Work considerations: Solo, as a team, remoting with other programmers, etc

I think they'd be all questions serious coders would be wanting to know.

RE: EscortBiz. The nature of coding is that (product dependant) - you'll see nothing for about 80% of the time, and then it will all come together. Visual elements etc are always the last to go in.

Best of luck. I'm with quantum though - is this full time, standby, single-project, multi-project?

Email me and I'll let you know how I can help you :winkwink:

Seriously though, I'm not going to give out my CV for something I won't have the time or interest to do anyway... The "don't waste my time" attitude works all ways....

:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

Funny thing is, Baddog has that type of attitude and he will turn down probably one of the best guys he will get, all because he can't provide the information needed, and just wants everyone to snap to his attention and do what he wants them to do.

Bump for you though Lloyd, good luck finding someone since anyone who knows anything will see you pretty much just passed off 2 of the best on this board, and for what? Some Indian outsourced guys who emailed you.

Barefootsies 11-06-2009 02:35 PM

borked and konrad I highly recommend.

I work with them both on my various project and cms scripts. While not the cheapest, they are easily the best I have worked with BY FAR in 12 years online. I mean that with the ultimate compliments to them.

They are in high demand, and for good reason.

:thumbsup
