How to know what's hot now?

What methods do you use to know what market or business is converting now?

The method I use that actually works wonders is looking at the forums of that specific business. For example some Mainstream businesses have forums with 15,000 active webmasters at all times (like in some adult forums in the good old days, those adult forums have now 5 online and active users and others are dead or just full of spam bots, which reflects the current situation of the biz).

What other methods do you use to know of potential and converting businesses?

Obviously that looking at what service or product is not offered for FREE on the internet is another method to find what you can promote and what will actually convert, lol. :)

I'm talking about what business does a profit now and its correlation with forums..

For example check most adult forums, how their traffic declinen dramatically, and how it reflects the situation of the adult biz.. damn some forums are not even resolving... It's obvious that people will always move on, to where the money is because they need to eat.

So check what is full of life now.. The forum of a specific mainstream product or service have 5000 active webmasters and growing right now... and that tells you something abotu that business...

it tells you that that business is saturated, and that you missed the boat already... :2 cents:

the adult business forums were at it's peak at 2004-2005..

check the forums now and check the current situtation of the biz.. Not sure if you still don't get the point, I can't make it more clear If you don't....

hmm, adult business profits declined sharply since then? but that's even besides the point, you can't really compare adult to mainstream... adult had ridiculous profit margins and relatively low competition due to moral issues... that's why it lasted as long as it did... in mainstream you have way more competition, many with deep pockets.... products get saturated in no time...

I'm not saying it's not possible to make some $$, but when you see the businesses/products discussed on the forums, the easy $$ is long gone...
