When I used to drive from Reno to Sacto or SF winter tires were required, sometimes chains too or they would turn you back.

I'd like to see you drive a RWD car with drag radials or sticky street tires in the snow. :upsidedow I made the mistake of trying it last year, once I backed it out I had to leave it at the end of my driveway halfway on the street. :error The car wouldn't move an inch, the tires would just slide, I couldn't back up or even get it back up the driveway.

When i lived in the mountains I used to carry a 5 gallon bucket fulla round in the winter at all times. can get you out of a ton predicaments.

This one time a friend came to my house driving his ford probe ( back when they were somewhat cool) and we had to shovel gravel in front of the tires for about 30 yards just to get his car up over a small hill and into my driveway.

shit I drive around in my beater car with bare tires and slam on the brakes during the summer as I come to a skidding stop. Tires squeal like a mofo and the person in front of me looks in the rearview and shits themselves as I come to stop. Oh yes I've had to change lanes in mid skid as not to rear end.
