I went to an absolutely insane birthday party for him at a bar in New York a few years back, and he was a whole lot of fun to hang out with. He would talk non stop for hours telling old wrestling stories.
Wrestling is a cyclical business, and the first real explosion it had was in the early '80's, when Captain Lou was in a Cyndi Lauper video and then Cyndi Lauper appeared on a few WWF shows. The result was a huge crossover of pro wrestling and MTV, which was still in it's infancy...Comment
