Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong with my PC. Youtube won't work

Since sometime yesterday youtube won't work right on either of my machines.

Last thing that occurred prior to this that I know of was a Java update the night before I encountered this problem, however, no update occurred on the second machine, yet the problem is from both machines.

According to the message on youtube, it says "you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player.".. However, Javascript is ON and my flash player is the latest version.. I even double checked by updating only to end up with an Adobe DLM which I then uninstalled.

This is what it looks like when I try to view.. It loads without .css and I can not get anything to play

I am absolutely certain that it is neither flash nor javascript as I am able to view flash videos from numerous sources and also verified that javascript actions on sites do work from my machine.

I wondered if this was an internal issue at youtube, but people I asked don't see this problem from their end.

Anyone have an idea what the problem may be?

Try clearing all your cache/cookies, etc.

Enable Javascript and disable NoScript on that page/domain.

Try a different browser to eliminate some of the possibilities. IE worked better for me.

I had the same problem on my desktop a couple of weeks ago. Completely un-installed Flash, then re-installed by going through IE. Works fine now.

youtube and analytics does this to me sometimes as well, refreshing the page fixes it for me.

under tasks on the left click "Repair windows using system restore"
a box will pop up and you got 2 choices. check the second one.
Then pick a date before all this shit happened.

but beware: all bookmarks you made since that date will dissapear.
