Has a sale of a site ever fallen through, then you're GLAD it did?
 

From the seller's perspective... someone offered me $10k for a baby paysite which was grossing a few thousand dollars a year. At the time the US dollar was strong so the windfall was more significant when converted to Aussie dollars.

The sale ultimately fell through because of the financial and stock backlash after 9/11. The buyer lost too much and had other things to worry about.

That same site now makes me $10k a few times over every year...

What is a baby paysite?

Something I kind of stumbled into, so it was more like a hobby that made some beer money rather than a business. In that situation $10k seemed like an amazing offer.

I'd still consider it a baby paysite since it literally has a handful of paying members (I'd say less than 20)... the majority of the income is generated by referring people to a pay per min webcam program. Since it's lifetime revshare the payouts really do build up over the years.

I had absolutely no idea what you meant and was trying to not draw conclusions.

I was going to sell a blog for $500. I ended up not selling it and it now makes a lot more than that a month.

Haha, I just loaded up my Verotel Tickets Club (*) stats, and there are TWO paying users... I may as well just make it a free site, or maybe free to join with the occasional promo email...
