Peel Ads...

I would like people to make a small test for me...
just click on this link and check out if the PEEL AD will show up or not...
I think it is not working on IE, but I want to be sure (it worked locally on IE, but for some reason the ads are not showing up when I check the site online)

looks like the only browser that doesn't display the peel ads is IE... that is pretty fucked up (maybe it is MY IE that is not working properly)

worked in my FF but not in my IE8.. good luck getting it working

CunningStunt 10-07-2009 04:05 PM

Nope, doesn't work for me in IE8.

Peel ads are horrible anyway, do they actually work? I've never put them on any of my sites, I find them too annoying from a surfer perspective.

yes they work.. I've seen sales from my peel ads on my program. The key is to have them coded right cause a lot of them when they first came out slowed down the load of pages. if they are done right they are just another chance to make a sale

pornpf69 10-07-2009 04:31 PM

well it looks like the codes I have been using on all my sites don't work on IE... that is pretty fucked up... thanks for your time folks...

pornpf69 10-07-2009 04:36 PM

it looks like it has some conflict with WP... as the same code works just fine on a test page I uploaded: http://realpornmenu.com/teste01.htm
maybe I will have do add some onLoad function on the BODY tag...

pornpf69 10-07-2009 04:44 PM

also: it looks like it doesn't work on OPERA...

I find a lot of peel ads cause issues with the page. For instance, on my blogs, the peel ad will often disappear on mouseover (in FF) and/or disable a bunch of links in the top right corner. Also, I find it quite annoying myself so I don't use them. Same with the IM ads.

Vendzilla 10-07-2009 08:38 PM

works in ie8, if you click on it before the page loads it doesn't. I'm on a slow connection for a while

I am getting warnings say that VENZILLA.COM is infected...

thanks for the info about the clicking before page loads... I will check it out to see if I can find a solution for that...

it actually doesn't disable the links, the fact is that the DIV from the FLASH is OVER the content, so you need to mouse over the ad in order to the content that is below it to be "normal"
