Need a clean version of windows vista or 7 virus free

I need a clean virus free working version of windows vista or windows 7. I have my own legit key but formatted my laptop and it didn't come with a windows cd. Are torrents safe or are they filled with trojans? Anyone know where I can get the latest windows version virus free and working ?
