That being said, why is society so bent on "doing the right thing" when CLEARLY Phoenix has every right to fuck up this assholes life. His parents raised him and if they are degenerates, they can take some heat from his mistakes.

It used to be that when a human killed someone, the family would then kill the killer. Problem solved and justice served.
