Changing the date stamp on my wordpress blog posts

I started a new blog and I want to make it appear older than it actually by changing the date stamps of each post. Will google slap me for this?

The site has been spidered alot but still not indexed in google yet.

SWEET!

Hopefully more people can chime in because if I don't get penalized for it I will be very happy. :thumbsup

good luck doing that... just make sure that your posts are not older than your domain...

Yeah, cause that's how spiders work. To check relevancy of content, they compare a blog time stamp to a domain registration. :1orglaugh

i've had blogs where i put the initial posts a few months prior to the reg date and still ranks well. so from experience - like i said - no ill effects.

Not worth the risk. Thanks anyways!
