Encoding .avi's to .mpeg's using Cleaner
 

Anyone know how to encode avi's into mpeg's with cleaner? Ive been tweaking the settings but cannot come up with a good enough result. Thanks in advance!

Ganja do you have a way to batch edit your mpeg clips? Sorry it's somewhat unrelated but I can look into the answer for you on the cleaner question. Stick one 30 minute clip in and cut it up into 60 30 second clips, insert next clip and have it do the same...any ideas? Thanks.

Everything I do with Cleaner looks like shit. I just use the M$ encoder at the moment.

mpegposter. Yes i know how to do that for you. Are you using a 30 minute AVI file? or a 30 minute MPEG? either way, its simple using cleaner.

Now find out the proper recipe for a good avi to mpeg and i will show you!

Will have to get back to you tomorrow on that one Ganja! Been messing with Pinnacle all night, sorry. I'll let you know though. Any secret tips you want to divulge feel free!

Use Pinnacle DV Studio 8 and it will capture/convert AVI to MPEG. I haven't found any Cleaner settings to do this yet, but will let you know if I do.

i just use vdub to clean it up and add filters then frame serve it to tmpgenc. nothing gets better results.

K. I have all my other files all batched out and am stuck on MPEG. Every setting I use in Cleaner for MPEG just doesnt satisfy me. Now, TMPGEnc just wont seem to work for me. And It doesnt appear that XingMPEG batches.... pleeeeeeze help~!! thanks.

Ok. Ive created a decent looking mpeg with acceptable filesize iusing TMGPEnc but I cant seem to figure out how to batch. Does anyone know if this program will batch multiple files at once???
